The Cushion had a 2" diameter. bubble on the rear cushion that was magically erased before sale using "hot air" with the promise that the issue would be fully resolved if it returned. I said there fix was truly remarkable given the "excess" material but was content to drive home in the rain.Overnight you could see the fault returning. The Factory,Portabery, the Dealer Team had failed. Will see what happens now Tel

No one has sat on the seat after it was re-covered by Lexus when the original cover was slightly oversized. Lexus replaced the bench seat frame, the foam & the leather cover so it will be sorted by an expert. Do not accept the Red is more prone to wrinkles was just asking if it was an easy fix ? Tel

Are ripples in the seat cushion easy to erase permanently------ like feedback before I visit Lexus on Monday Thanks Tel

My 2017 is definitely so much smoother & appears to engage the battery mode more readily in heavy traffic. I only drive in Sport Mode & in my previous car averaged c. 48 mpg with 52 mpg on long Motorway high speed runs--perfect. in the Jura Mountains, close to Switzerland with 4 adults in the car, I got 25mpg going up to the Top & 58mpg returning to the Valley floor. Cannot wait to see if the new car is marginally better. Tel

Lexus Paint Protector

Current IS was a showroom car which had been Gardexed to display. I,like you, was Very cynical & refused to pay for it ! However,my car which has always looked Mint, has been cared for using Meguires Products on a Gardex Base & I never allow Service Valetting. The 2017 IS is offered with Wheel/Tyre/Scratch/Paint/Trim Protection & The Lexus Protection Pack to sweeten the deal if I agreed to go ahead in January. Delivery was April & then my Dealer got allocated my car which was originally destined for a Showroom in the South. A Dark Colour needs all the help it can get & I find my cars can attract unwanted Trabants even in deserted Parks. I am content. Tel -
Lexus Paint Protector

My IS is being coated with Gardex which results in a lifetime guarantee provided you care for your vehicle in the normal way. An additional coating if correctly applied is a no brainer particularly if it is part of the Deal & Velvet Black needs it to pass the Fluorescent Light Test ! Tel -
Chose Graphite Black because the sample colour pod in the Showroom looked to me like "Velvet Black with a hint of sparkle" & being a metallic it would wear better & therefore be easy to clean. Rayaan may have a point re refurbs on the 2016 car & my new wheel is dark in appearance (semi dark chrome ) wrapped in a Black wheel arch & mudflap giving me my initial impression the wheel had changed. It looks better than my ISF & is faster than my current F-Sport due to the lighter suspension & no front F/lights --------- my thoughts @ this juncture !

Against the 2016 car the wheels were a shade darker & the spokes appeared less obese. The ride is said to be much smoother so the Turanza 's will be OK & the Protection Pack does include the Protector. The Gardex was never on my list of needs but was again part of the package & really makes cleaning easier as my current car was in the Showroom when I bought it & had Gardex applied to give maximum appeal. I am a Meguires Nut but it does work. Tel

The grille is Dark Chrome, the wheels are slightly darker & thinner spoked --- a 2016 car was parked next to it. The Head Lamps look so slim & the side sill appeared slightly different. The rear end looked different because of a dull chrome protector on top of the bumper, the chrome flash above the reflector & the mud flaps . The car was parked against a wall & in between 2 cars & awaits Gardex Treatment that comes as part of the Deal. I originally wanted Velvet Black but when I knew the IS had Graphite Black I ordered without reference & all I can say is it looks a classy black that has a hint of sparkle. The Brake Vents blend-in on Black---- they look too pronounced on lighter colours in my opinion. Tel

I was originally quoted April but then Lexus GB had my spec. with a Protection Pack (c.£ 400 ) about to be sent to another Dealer for their showroom.GB are sending another car to that Dealer & I get mine for March registration. You could contemplate a tweak with your spec to speed-up your Deal (?) Tel

New IS300H MY2017 | fog lights cancelled?
Tel replied to Overland's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Lexus say Led Lights are brighter with greater spread & greater penetration (length) & therefore fog lights are not necessary ---- we shall see! Tel -

The only time I have ever used my Parking Brake is when I was in a Traffic jam on the entrance to Mt. Blanc but then I have had Auto's for as long as I remember. Tel -

Nope, As Lexus were replacing my new car they thanked me for reporting the damage & the car was returned to them with 4.5k miles on the clock. The LS was beautifully built ,went like a rocket & averaged 28.5 mpg over the 6 weeks I Perfect. Tel

I once had a brand new LS 460 Courtesy Car that I used to holiday in Italy. One day we drove to Trento near the Austrian Border & the only car park in the mountain-top town was a large underground car park underneath the Bus Terminal that had a large entrance that narrowed considerably after the first L/hand corner. I damaged all 4 wheels down the spiralling entrance & further damaged the wheels when I exited the Park. I was gutted. Tel
