  1. Ian, I had trouble with My Lexus & My Toyota for our cars until I registered both new car's Navs on their respective MM & not on-line. I selected easy single case passwords &, once I realised that the planned journey was in the Nav's Memory & not on the M-Point on the Main Screen, the system works perfectly. I changed the Toyota e-mail too despite the My Lexus/ Toyota Team insisting they could be the same & then educated both Dealers ! Tel
  2. In heavy traffic, in Sport Mode the car glides in silence for c. 8-10 miles which makes me feel good as the cars all around me cough & splutter noxious fumes. Never driven economically, yet average mpg over the last 4 years is c.45 mpg in the UK & 55 mpg on the Continent which is twice the rate of my ISF. Swift & Refined & a tenner for Road Tax ----- doesn't get much better. Tel
  3. Any progress on the Rock Chips , the rear scuff & the leather creases that are Lexus Cheltenham's responsibility not yours ? Tel
  4. Gardex System offers Chip & Scuff Protection which came "free " in my Deal which I was happy about as Road Rash & Alloy Scars do hurt & can be costly to resolve. R. clearly has his spin on all issues as we do too. You may recall I had a Seat Cushion issue on Delivery that I did not accept but others thought I was picky! Lexus resolved this & to date it has been "obese proof " which Rayaan doubted would work. My tyres are covered too & the brakes, so there is a good chance I can keep the car mint. Tel
  5. Never experienced a rattle on start-up even in sub-zero temperatures & Sport Mode functions perfectly from start-up. Your Service must be the root-cause. Tel
  6. Cris, Try Re-registering your Device on line & use your Phones Hotspot to connect to the car's Memory System. Is there not another Dealer you can get involved with your case? Tel
  7. Cris, Change your E-mail & password then ensure you tick the Saved box on the Connected Services Page. Tel
  8. I cannot tolerate rattles &,as Andy states, if you can sort it ,that is perfect. I served my apprenticeship on my 5 Minis in the 70's. H/w my Lexus experience based on 2x IS 200 80000 mile cars that were perfect. My 2003 IS 200 Nav Sport was replaced after the all air ducts were greased & the A-Posts were re-welded by Lexus GB. The replacement IS 300 Sunroof jammed open, the rails were realigned, which resulted in a High Speed "Bopping Noise".GB replaced the sunroof. In 2005, my 19 inch wheeled 250 SEL suffered the dreaded creaking Dash that Inchcape Lexus resolved by my suggestion to jam -down the dash with very high density foam rather than fitting new larger dash pegs that meant the complete removal of the dash that was SO risky. In 2012, my otherwise perfect ISF, had a light rattle from the lower dash area that only occurred in Lincoln every time I went to the East Coast & on a section of road near my Brother in Law's Villa in France. Really niggled me, so I toured my local area to find a rippled road surface that would repeat it & same near Lexus Derby who knew of my concern. Eventually repeated 500 yards from my home with my tyres set for high-speed, as in France. Derby sent their Master Technician to my home & 2 hrs later the problem was resolved. Footwell fusebox internals . In 2017, my lover's new Yaris has parking sensors Dealer fitted. On Day one there was a rattle from the lower dash area that was evident on my 500 Test Section. Looked on-line @ the Sensor Instalation & on Day 2 asked the Dealer to fit the sensors correctly. Resolved. Tel
  9. My Steering is more responsive, the brakes more progressive & the ride a touch smoother now I have reduced the pressures to 36 psig. Use the Radar Controlled Cruise all the time for the Tidal Flow Average Speed Sections of Motorways & have received numerous favourable comments about the Graphite/Red combo when it is clean ! Tel
  10. In the 2017/8 Premium Nav the Portal Connection is available in Set-up & also on your Home Device & I advise that you register your Nav with Europe on-Line. My daughter & her Fella have key jobs & have bought new Seat & Range Rover cars respectively Both tend to ignore, to a degree their Infotainment System ,Voice Command in the Seat is not reliable & iPhone Nav is much easier to default to. Her Fella streams his music in the Range Rover & prefers the Nav in his wife's car One of his Contacts has a Tesla whose keeper does not rate its Nav, describing it as awkward & not accurate. Surprising what was revealed during my youngest Grandson's Bash & ,on a footnote, the Tesla leather looked cheap. Tel
  11. Wallace, I ,too, add a step, then Name my Journey, Save said Journey . Then click Saved Journeys & click the chosen named one which allows the car access to said Journey. Once in My Memory, in My Destinations, I click the Start Flag & get said image. Hope I am not teaching you to suck eggs ! Tel
  12. Rayaan is right as my 36psi setting all round did not result in an alarm as the System clearly measures the fall from any set value . Thanks to Peter, too, for researching the 2016 post. Tel
  13. Thanks Peter I will check mine tomorrow by bending right down! Tel
  14. Lowered mine to 36psi from the 40 psi set by the Dealer & cannot find out how to initialise the new setting as there is no longer a Dash Button. Can anybody help please ? Tel
  15. My Connected Services now works fine with a man on the screen, that when clicked, gives you images of that location. I found sending the saved Journey to the car was instant but did not realise the MM Memory had to be accessed to send the Journey to the Navigation System. I use Bluetooth Hotspot but WiFi is fine if your car is close to your house. I assume the Man will walk with me to the end-point, via my i-phone, but that is for the future. Tel
  16. Forget the Lexus Portal & re-register in My Lexus & ensure you Register your M.Media on-LIne. No spaces in the 16 character Device Code & an immediate successful registration that you then tether into the car. My User Name was changed when I registered "as though the process was a new System." Tel
  17. When I bought my ISF Mk2 there was an issue with the special forged wheels that were prone to significant build up of brake dust & the Forum tested many techniques to resolve the issue both in Europe & the States. The best solution was Poorboy's Wheel Sealant that is a pink cream that I purchased from the States. I applied this to my brand new wheels & was so sceptical that this was the solution as the cream was SO easy to apply. It works & I have used this ever since allowing me to use my Maguires Body suds to sparkle my Alloys. Now available in Halfords. Does exactly what it says on the tin! Tel
  18. Reset before any journey of note locally & every long journey. Tel
  19. Italy--- Motorway Bliss/ T-Junction GrandPrix/He who dares Wins @ Islands. Belgium----As above for Motorways however with ever increasing Tidal Flow Systems Holland----As above (Belgium) BUT zero Lane discipline. Germany--Same but slip roads are surprisingly short in length yet has carpet smooth A&B roads France----2 Top Tips, On Motorways, you are informed of their fixed cameras But their Police hide in Rest Areas & the old entrances to Farms that litter the edge of the AutoRoute. Caught speeding & the monetary fine is instant, so too, if you do not have their mandatory Driving Kit & they will confiscate your car if speed is + 30 mph above their 81 mph limit. Secondly, Autoroutes have a separate Rain Limit of 68 mph BUT I have so far ignored this @ my peril judging my speed against the French cars to a degree i.e. they tend to ignore it unless it is torrential whereas I stick to c.85 mph. but I am clearly @ risk. Finally, late one evening in my ISF, cruising on the A4 between Venice & Milano @ 130 mph I was flashed by a Businessman in his Masser doing c.170 mph & ,in Tuscany, when I was struggling to find an underground carpark in Casole de Elsa. I went to the Gendarmerie for help. They got in their Patrol car & told me to follow them once they had admired my car. Lights on, we toured the hilltop town going the wrong way down one street & through a red light straight to the carpark entrance ---the Locals thought I had been arrested as I had passed them @ the Bars twice before! Tel
  20. Peter, Sustained high speed increases the tyre footprint to bulge much greater & you compensate for this by raising the pressure by 10% or more dependant upon the Tyre Manufactures Recommendation. Terry
  21. Steve, I use cruise control in the UK for all Motorway Traffic Flow Control Systems set @ 52mph for a 50 limit.I accelerate into the fast lane & sit there c.80 to 85 mph.In France I do exactly the same & get + 2mpg due to less congestion & 400 mile hops. In Italy,Summer temperatures,I get 38-40 mpg sitting there @ 90 to 95 mph but if I slow to my UK speed c.58 mpg. Tyres are 36psi in the UK,39 in Europe. I am excellent @ smooth braking/ lane changing that my 1999 200 IS Sport reached 45k. miles before requiring new pads / tyres when the norm was 10k. according to Lexus Leicester. Seriously I drive my F-Sport as my ISF & only miss my Supercar's rapid acceleration joining German Motorways & its fabulous Brembo Brakes. I drive smooth, but never Hybrid &, have always driven in Sport Mode. Always quote the cars computer. Terry
  22. My 2017 is definitely so much smoother & appears to engage the battery mode more readily in heavy traffic. I only drive in Sport Mode & in my previous car averaged c. 48 mpg with 52 mpg on long Motorway high speed runs--perfect. in the Jura Mountains, close to Switzerland with 4 adults in the car, I got 25mpg going up to the Top & 58mpg returning to the Valley floor. Cannot wait to see if the new car is marginally better. Tel First longish Motorway journey c.92 miles Nottingham to Worcester South & return.(Sport) Monday c. 0600hrs South took 105 minutes @ 55mpg Return c.21.00hrs North took 80 minutes @ 48 mpg Venice to Verona cruising @ 130 mph in my Isf achieved 18.5 mpg (average over 3 years 26.5 ) Tel
  23. Rayaan, Red Text infers you bleed ! Yes But Qualification reminds me of Matt Lucas. Illegitimi non carborundum Tel
  24. Rayaan, As a Club Guru someone may heed your advice but you clearly loath anyone who challenges your Opinion. Your last Post to me perfectly illustrates this. In Jan 2017 you did visit a Lexus Showroom & was critical of a Black 2017 IS . In February 2017 you stated you hated the 2017 Flaps In March 2017 you inferred neither Lexus or the Leather Expert had the correct skill-sets to resolve my "ripple" In April 2017 you confirmed you have spent years unsuccessfully using steam to resolve your numerous sagging issues that are foam not cover faults actually. So relieved you are not a Trump-Aide although you did make reference to anal matters come to think of it. Have a good day ! Tel
