  1. Sammee Try re-booting your NAV. Search SatNav Issues on this Forum for the IS------pressing the power button for 5 seconds springs to mind but check first. Tel
  2. Zero cornering issues @ high speed in the Alps. Your set-up is wrong or there is a fault. Try another car. Tel
  3. Driving to France & Italy soon in Sport -Mode. Was impressed with the fuel return on my last trip, in my previous IS F- Sport, where I averaged near 50 mpg over 3000 miles despite mountain -up figures of 25 & 90mph+ figures of 35. 600 mile daily hops to Geneva--Florence--Verona aid economy of course & in my ISF I achieved under similar circumstances. All figures are car data- based. Tel
  4. According to Car Driver in the US there are fundamental Issues with the 3 such as ride , cabin ergonomics & braking BUT the costly range extender works on the $80k. model . Tel .
  5. The thrust is thrilling, the range is challenging but paying over the odds for a B &Q std. Build rankles the most in my book Tel
  6. The bottom line is with Tesla the price you pay is twice the cost of cars in that segment as you pay for the technology. So the current car is ok with poor build values when compared to all other 40 K cars & has significant range issues Two tales from Tuscany Befriended 2 Owners in 2012 & 2017 comparing my ISF with an M3 & last year my IS with an i8 which looked stunning. We all agreed Lexus Build Quality was the best, the M3 was 40% thirstier & cost a fortune to service whist the i8s consumption was nearly half the value of mine despite claims to be @ least twice. Technology must deliver for me but fails miserably unless you are a Dedicated Eco Warrior. I drove a Prius Plug-in; as most daily commutes are" in traffic " & it was no better than my IS mpg on the same commute but the Eco Owners better 75mpg. Bottom line is Technology is in its infancy Tel
  7. Used to be 5 Steps to Dial but is now a maximum of 3 & often 2 Steps. The only issue is remembering the individual's Voice Tag on your iPhone as the car lacks the Siri function to aid memory ! Tel
  8. The German Marques are not particularly well made, do badly in the JD Power Surveys & almost the steering wheel is an expensive Optional Extra ! Tel
  9. In my 2013 IS F Sport mpg was as follows in Sport-Mode only. Winter c. 43 on commutes c.12 miles & 50+ on 100 mile Motorway spurts. In Summer c.10% higher figures. On Continental journeys to France & Italy in Summer I averaged c. 58 & when I drove up the Jura mountains with 4 on board I averaged 25 & saw 60+ returning to the valley floor. My new Motor is a touch better as the battery kicks in below 8 mph Am driving to Lake Garda later this year & will be interested in the figures which in France on their Autoroute I got c.58 doing 80 mph But c. 38 in ITaly with average speeds of 90 mph when traffic allows 3 figure speeds result in the figures below 30 Tel
  10. Please note, I would only consider a fully loaded 4x4 F-Sport model & it will be closer to 40 than 30k. Tel
  11. Toyota excel @ build quality, too & my better half's Rav 4. & latter-day Yaris cars have never creaked or rattled. I love the CHR & doubt whether the 40k UX will be worth the extra 10k. We shall see. Tel
  12. I,too, fancy the UX but need to satisfy myself that is SO much more than the Toyota CHR that I would have bought for my wife had there been a more powerful 4-wheel drive version. Tel
  13. Mine is treated with Gardex that was applied by the Dealer as part of the deal &, to date has required no cleaning agents. A few on here were critical of Gardex (me too if I am honest) but it clearly works as does the Specialist Leather Technician Lexus used to resolve the crease in my replacement rear seat cushion. The chap promised me his repair was permanent & after 12 months the crease has yet to reappear. Chuffed Tel
  14. Cannot tolerate creaks & rattles & have had 3 cars replaced due to rattles & have had Rover and Lexus technicians work from my home to resolve issues too My Mk.2 ISF had a fuse-box rattle ,my 2 IS F-Sports have been perfect. Tel
  15. Had a new LS 460L for a courtesy car for 4 months when Lexus replaced my IS Sport with a IS 300 . All had a refined yet firm ride that impressed anyone who road in them . The road which exposed the fault on Sport had a mile of traversing service main humps every 30m. that were a good test of any suspension system. Speed limit was not an issue c. 05.00 hrs & the only difference in the models was that the LS thump/bump was more refined but not significantly so . My 2017 IS is firm & close to the LS when set on Sport Mode. My Mk.2 ISF was similar but all German Sport models were harsh as they are skewed to handling. Sport models are significantly different to standard on 19” wheels let alone smaller diameters which will refine the bump/thump so you take your choice. Tel
  16. When launched 18” were standard & 19” were an option but the latter was dropped after 6 months tel
  17. iPhone 10 connects seamlessly to IS & Yaris ----- See compatibility list for your German cars Tel
  18. On the same theme does anyone know if the brake lights come on when the car slows in Radar Cruise Mode. I assume they do but have never been able to check Tel
  19. Steve, Just connected my iPhone 10 & no issues whatsoever. Interestingly I always remove my previous phone before I add my new one & the full connectivity of contacts & Music Albums took seconds which amazed me. Tel
  20. Years ago I used to take my girls to the South of France on holiday & stay in a Motel en route. The girls always took fruit to consume as we journeyed to our holiday destination the following day. The following Spring I found a peach stone under my drivers seat which had a 3” diameter corrosive patch around it. Spicey food is pink ! Tel
  21. My experience with the Mk.1 300h was there was a lot of niggles with the voice activation system, connectivity continuity, & Black Screens in the first 6 months. I had my iPhone & my Bud had a Samsung. We had c.6 software upgrades between August 2013 & December 2013 & we suffered no issues after that. Therefore , I conclude it is a phone issue Can you not try another phone which is a doddle to secure @ a Dealer or Phone Shop ? Tel
