  1. I don't have an IS, but if it's at all similar to a GS, there's a screw behind a panel that you have to remove behind the door-opener - get a thin-bladed screwdriver in there and gently lever it out.

If you have to pull hard, there's something wrong!!

When you get all the screws out, you have to lift it upwards to get it off.

  2. I use a modified picnic blanket too - works great. I don't have dogs, but do have 3 young kids - about as messy as half a dozen pooches I reckon. Also, cos the blanket is quite thick, it stops the baby's car seat frame marking the leather.

Zee - they last pretty well. I go everywhere with mine on all the time, as I want to be seen by all the other eejits!!. I do about 30,000 miles a year and the PIAA bulbs seem to last about 18 months before blowing - then they seem to blow at about the same time - so I'd say they last better than most. My high beams, which I obvioulsy use less often, have had SuperWhites in for over 2 years without being changed.

You can buy SuperWhites from GG in Leicester - they didn't have Xtreme Whites last time I checked - I had to get them mail order and they're imported from Japan - but GG may have some now.

The Xtreme whites fit both 9005 and 9006 - you change a small ring on the base of the lamp to adjust focus, although I don't think it matters on a Lex because of the reflector lens. The SuperWhites coe in 9005 and 9006 flavours.

    Cheers

Yeah - I asked to guys that did the upgrade to let me know if they reckoned they could improve on the sub by replacing it with another free-air one - they said that they thought it was doing pretty well anyway (and I'm not a particular bass-head) - so we decided it was probably not worth it.:bounce:

  5. So sorry to hear about this - some people are just scum.

The guys are right though - absolutely get the Police involved, and don't do anything to your car yet - you'll be mitigating your claim. Pearl's head office is in Peterborough - have you tried calling them up there - ask to speak to their MD!! - failing that, Pearl is part of the AMP Group of companies - head office is in Finsbury Avenue, London - try there.

Behaviour like this is outrageous and providing you're sure that you are in the right (and that the incident took place on a public highway) I'd insist that the Police do something about it.

Good luck - keep us informed about how you get on please.

Perhaps "Lexus Owners Club. Be part of it."

Grimmo - in what way is "Be part of it" more grabbing than "Be part of something great!".

Have you been on the sauce again?!:tumble::tumble:
