I don't have an IS, but if it's at all similar to a GS, there's a screw behind a panel that you have to remove behind the door-opener - get a thin-bladed screwdriver in there and gently lever it out.
If you have to pull hard, there's something wrong!!
When you get all the screws out, you have to lift it upwards to get it off.

I use a modified picnic blanket too - works great. I don't have dogs, but do have 3 young kids - about as messy as half a dozen pooches I reckon. Also, cos the blanket is quite thick, it stops the baby's car seat frame marking the leather.

Thanks guys - good advice:bounce:

Rodders - are they good for long distance driving in terms of life? I have previously had Ring bulbs and they blew really quickly, but they had a disclaimer on the box saying "not suited to long distance driving" as the filament would wear quicker. Is that the case with these?
Zee - they last pretty well. I go everywhere with mine on all the time, as I want to be seen by all the other eejits!!. I do about 30,000 miles a year and the PIAA bulbs seem to last about 18 months before blowing - then they seem to blow at about the same time - so I'd say they last better than most. My high beams, which I obvioulsy use less often, have had SuperWhites in for over 2 years without being changed.
You can buy SuperWhites from GG in Leicester - they didn't have Xtreme Whites last time I checked - I had to get them mail order and they're imported from Japan - but GG may have some now.
The Xtreme whites fit both 9005 and 9006 - you change a small ring on the base of the lamp to adjust focus, although I don't think it matters on a Lex because of the reflector lens. The SuperWhites coe in 9005 and 9006 flavours.
Cheers

Unlucky - even though you may not want to claim on your insurance, I strongly advise you to tell them what's going on - they may help you to pusue the person who hit you, and assist you with legal advice and help should you need it.

I think that Shrek has done something about this??

Yeah - I asked to guys that did the upgrade to let me know if they reckoned they could improve on the sub by replacing it with another free-air one - they said that they thought it was doing pretty well anyway (and I'm not a particular bass-head) - so we decided it was probably not worth it.:bounce:

Of course Zee - no problems mate - I tend to drive everywhere with them on all the time anyways!!
-
Thanks for the advice - does anyone know if there's a set of lines available for the GS-2?

So sorry to hear about this - some people are just scum.
The guys are right though - absolutely get the Police involved, and don't do anything to your car yet - you'll be mitigating your claim. Pearl's head office is in Peterborough - have you tried calling them up there - ask to speak to their MD!! - failing that, Pearl is part of the AMP Group of companies - head office is in Finsbury Avenue, London - try there.
Behaviour like this is outrageous and providing you're sure that you are in the right (and that the incident took place on a public highway) I'd insist that the Police do something about it.
Good luck - keep us informed about how you get on please.

It's gonna be a while (and a miracle) before I catch up with you , Mat and Richie I think!:bounce:

Excellent!!:bounce:

I have PIAA Xtreme white bulbs on my car - and I think they're worth every penny - astonishing light output - 4000K colour temperature - which is about as bright as you're ever going to get with a halogen bulb.
I have also used PIAA SuperWhites - pretty good too.
Blue bulbs are, by definition, always going to be less bright than white bulbs!!

Nice!!:o

yeah - gottem on mine too - much less dust.
Did you change the discs too??:bounce:

Or how about we print them onto something with a magnetic background.. that way I can throw them onto moving cars!!!:tumble::tumble:
:lol:Now you're talking!!:bounce:

I've got a plate on mine, which is made of my initials. When I was looking, I found
G300 XXX (xxx being my initials).
Bought and paid for it, but when it came to the final transfer, the eeejit who had it previously had scrapped the care with it on, so I couldn't get it!!:(

I think everyone's entitled to their opinion mate - and you're entitled to disagree. Why don't you post a reply? (keep it inoffensive please).
BTW - it wasn't me!!

Perhaps "Lexus Owners Club. Be part of it."
Grimmo - in what way is "Be part of it" more grabbing than "Be part of something great!".
Have you been on the sauce again?!:tumble::tumble:
