If you are searching for part numbers on search engines of any type you need all the part number the part number you are quoting is the master number for that specific location of the part say a front fender the various parts that make up the fender will have 10 digit part numbers example 47781-50010.

Hi everyone whatever your model ,I have whilst browsing the copart fans forum a new to me parts sourcing website. This site actually uses original manufacturers part number lists and diagrams which is priceless when identifying the exact part you need. If you sign up to the garage proviso all you need to do to get the best price worldwide is to first identify the part number on the vehicle put in your vin number and they find the correct part at the best price and availability. I have checked out some of the prices and the variance is surprising and these are mostly genuine OEM parts. The site is www 7zap.com

Hi Paul The first LS 400s in the uk had no options, the offer was an all up full specification my 1990 mark 1 was the 65th car to be imported and according to my Toyota / Lexus dealership as they were up to the late 90s that specification was exclusive to the UK. I think there were several reasons for not offering more options the main one was the dealership set up and why they eventually forced a exclusive Lexus dealership on the franchisees' .

Yes it is a terrific example and would imagine those miles are motorway cruising being a company car. The belt change is recommended at 10 years if that comes first. The leather will come up really nice with a professional clean and feed the paint looks good so its a keeper ,can only go up in price from here in. This was mine for 17 years.

Always good to educate yourself when the opportunity arises and its a no loss situation,I found the water bottle float sensor was not working on my mark 4 when I bought it. I bought a new one from Lexus fitted it but did some research on why the old one failed, it turns out they get saturated with the fluid and sink giving a empty bottle reading. I dried it out and painted it with lacquer tested it for a month and it passed the test ,stuck it on ebay at half the cost of new and sold it to someone in Germany ,unusual to say the least but it shows benefits of education.

The oil mist around the right bank head looks like a pcv valve issue could do to change that out and a clean up should bring the engine and bay back to its classic look, not as today shrouded in plastic. The problem here is that this is not a Lexus spec the seats are not leather and it as a couple of other non Lexus additions. In the UK this does not come close to a Lexus LS400 specification even the colour is not found in the UK issued cars. The Americans love their classic cars and there is an industry built around it but here we tend to stick to classic British and so nothing like the same interest in Asian manufactured post war vehicles. There are a lot of Celsiors for sale in Japan and this is a rare low mileage car but plenty of reasonable mileage examples at half the price so anyone buying this car is paying a premium for the reading on the odometer because everything else is the same and to my mind not worth the extra.

The reputation for quality of replacement and Mod suspension parts in the states is well known as there is a large marketplace for a multitude of enthusiasts who love updating their cars. As the market place is so big there is a lot of competition this keeps prices low so if the reviews are generally good across a manufacturers range of products they are likely to be ok.

Hi Allan Take off the parking brake assembly and give yourself more room. Tap four new larger bolts into the existing hub bolt holes fasten in a couple of anchors and pull with the puller after applying some heat to the hub bearing housing. The remaining part of the hub should then just pull off ,it is probably seized to the shaft. -
Hi Paul The description of your task is well easy to follow and will be a boon for anyone needing to replace the comp . I am curious to know how you applied the 12volts to the clutch assembly as this is normally applied via a pressure switch that operates if there is enough refrigerant gas in the system if there is not enough gas pressure within the system the clutch will not engage. This is usually the first sign that the system is leaking
