On the LS600 and more than likely the 460 the heated seat element is not separate from leather it's been made as a one piece (hence the price tag of £1350+vat).... So I recieved a complete new base (except plastic surround) hence the new leather etc... My orginal leather was nice a tight (no sign of wear either it still looked new (09 with only 28k on clock) Seat now looks more used now with leather being crumbled not at all happy Up till today I could of been a lexus salesman with my liking of the brand ..but as of today if some asked me I'd tell them to look elsewhere that's how disappointed and peeved off I am... They had my car for 10days to put a new battery in and replace seat and do the 3hr recall work on it....ok yes I realise they had to order the parts 2-3days but to replace seat and not test it out after intial problem which is exactly the same as now ... I'm stunned and disappointed..... I can see this being my last lexus....

You'll need a bearing press to get it out and back in.... I had my bearing replaced in my LS400 both n/s and o/s Unfortunatly no other info on diameter etc that I can give you

ps lexus LS600hl low mileage mint condition(apart from heated seat doesn't work)..... for sale/scrap/spares.... Now to get into trouble for not being a gold member roflmao lol

Looking at seat the new leather also looks ruffled rather than tight n smooth.... Am sorry guys but IMO lexus have fukt up here..... I explained that seat intially heated up then went cool and blew cold air at me after 5-10 mins so they replaced bottom half of seat leather and element .... Took car for a spin today and 5mins later goes cool and blows cold air at me for the next 30mins of my drive... Mrs is sat smerking at me with her heated seat working perfectly all thru the journey..(hate her ).. Parked car up went shopping then return journey home same again ie 5mins seat warms up then goes cold with cold air blowing onto my butt

Cars still under warranty so repair will be free.....

They can come and recover it again at there expense and give me a proper replacement car instead of a tractor aka shogun.... My Mrs is so staying out of ear shot as I'm ranting about changing marquee of cars now (won't happen but just me being unhappy and spouting off) Oh and they can replace the engine cover clips they've lost as well... Maybe just as well Lexus techs aren't in today and was just a young girl who answered phone at Lexus as I was ready to lose the plot... So hopefully calmed down by tomorrow morning when I phone them up again

As YOUs know my LS600hl's heated drivers seat wasn't working and was replaced under warranty and I recieved car back yesterday afternoon...... WELL GUESS WHAT..... It still isn't working right... Heats up 1st 5mins then blows flipping cold air at my butt.... Looks like I'll be without my car AGAIN shortly.... Disappointed and hacked off is a understatement 😣😞😒

Suns out very gentle breeze already washed n polished Mrs and sons car.... Don't need to do mine as it arrived back spotless 😃

Rudy ....the only thing I like about the shogun is I DONT HAVE TO DRIVE IT ANYMORE .... Lol phoned the hire company up and they said oh just keep it till Monday as its paid up till then... I said NO thanks come and take it away ASAP so there coming to collect it in morning.... Good riddance to a inferior car aka skip on wheels

Whoop whoop... Just had the phone call to say cars sorted and ready for transporting back up to me... AA recovery phoned to say we can pick it up today but will be sat on transporter at services till driver can legally drive again as running out of hours for the day... My answer to that was leave it at Lexus and pick it up in morning.. Not wanting car sat in a services over night (I'm a lorry driver and know what goes on in services at nights ie pikeys and normal general thieves... So both Lexus n AA agree to leave it till morning 😄😄😄 Got fuel tank topped up by them 😄 note to self don't send car down with 3/4 tank next time 1/4 tank lol 😂😂😂 Really looking forward to getting HER back Had to drive to Aberdeen today in the shogun and argggggghhhh I hated every minute of journey (I don't like diesels) plus noisy and felt the gear changes (autobox) and every bump in road

Lol you can imagine the havoc my kids can cause with all the buttons in the back of the 600... From the back they can change stations volume etc of the stereo up front grrrrrrrr along with putting side n rear blinds up n down etc etc only happened twice now and have stopped after I pulled over and said I'd phone mum n she can come and pick them up in her inferior car.... Result no more pressing buttons for the fun off it...... Yes I'm a ogre when it comes to misbehaving in the lexus

This is the stuff I use... I got it from a firm down south when I purchased a bottle of AIRGLIDE Polish which is brilliant by the way only polished car once and haven't had to do since and meant to last for up to 5yrs.... They use it on formula 1 race cars speed boats and aeroplanes just recently started selling to general public... Interior cleaning stuff is fab as well.... It's a 3 part process ..cleans preps and conditions Ps 1 little bottle of this polish which just managed to do my big car was £99 😫

Something like that Rudy lol Mark as you know I'm already getting a replacement seat base at £1350+vat so certainly won't be doing that can you imagine the cost for full interior jeeeeeezus I use a liquid cleaner on a soft cloth a gentle massage it into my mrs.... Ooops sorry went off track there lol no but seriously I don't spray seats I spray a cloth and gently clean seats, I do condition seats as well with a liquidy cream on cloth and use on the whole leather first then and only then over perforated leather just in case of excess on cloth..... I've banned kids from eating in car as nothing worse than chocolate in the perforated leather... In fact I've banned them from doing anything in car except sitting still and occasionally breathing

Yep I bought after market top ball joint wish bones for a LS400 from a company around Leeds and all looked good intially 3mths later rubber started to split and rot..... Bought another aftermarket set from another company down south and again 3mths later cracked n split decided to go for OEM parts after this,

It's the light wood trim in his ..... I'll ask again what he's doing with it when I see him

He bought it brand new and has certainly got his money's worth out of it.... Interior wise you'd think it was near brand new.... His ls430 was the 1st lexus I had ever been in and is what made me buy my 1st Lexus LS and I've never looked back ever since.... Think he only got the new LS460 because I'd said I was looking at 600s lol he's still jealous tho.... But he did give me my own parking space in company's yard as he knows how protective I am of my car as he is.... Pays to suck up to boss lol

I'd always said to him if he was to sell it I'd buy it off him.... He approached me 2-3yrs ago about buying it and I said thanks but no thanks due to rust coming thru both front doors along the trim, plus it had the milk stain in passenger nsf window..... With it being sat for so long all brake pipes need renewing and leveling sensors are KAPUTT now as well.... It's just going to rack n ruin Lol I did offer him £200 scrap money for it ...I shan't repeat what he said to me lol

My boss has one of these mk1 LS430 a 2001 Y reg same color but doesn't use it now and parked up in corner of his haulage yard rotting away 😣 On that note he's now got a 14plate LS460 near same color 😄 but still a shame that his orginal LSs is hidden in corner Can't see the 430 but it's behind my 600 and far end of yard on right handside
