  1. I received my renewal last week and had increased from last year by £140 so phoned up and asked why, seeing as cars value had decreased and NCB had increased no new convictions etc etc was then informed they could give me a extra 10% off my renewal but declined as had already found a cheaper company £220 fully comp for my LS600hl not bad eh complete with breakdown cover etc etc excess is £850 tho...£350 compulsory and £500 volunteered,

  10. Nice car nice tints nice decals ........ now for the negative.... **** parking 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
  11. Hes a top bloke and as you said very knowledgeable, but dont tell him i said that... i'll deny everything 😂
  12. Looking forward to seeing your finished car once your 100% happy with it...nice thread and brill pics included ... keep up the good work
  13. The box on steering column is a sensor... facial sensor...it tracks your face movements whilst in cruise control and will beep at you and car will start to brake and slow down if you do not keep looking forward or if you nod off... hard to see in daylight but you will notice it illuminates slightly with purplish sensor lights .... edit.... quoted from Owners manual ls600h/LS600hL driver monitor sensor detects the direction the driver is facing, the system determines whether the driver is facing forward yet another edit lol The system uses an algorithm to map the position of the driver’s facial features and monitors movement of the driver’s head. A CCD (charge-coupled device) camera is mounted on top of the steering column with six built-in near-infrared LED’s which allow the system to work accurately both day and night. When the vehicle is started up, the system automatically plots the position of the driver’s facial features – eyes, nose and mouth – and measures the width and centre line of the face. If the driver’s head is turned away from the road at an angle of more than 15 degrees when the vehicle is moving and an obstacle is detected ahead, the system automatically activates the Pre- Crash warning buzzer and briefly applies the brakes to warn of the danger. If this still fails to prompt action from the driver, the PCS engages emergency braking preparation and pre-tensioning of the front seatbelts. These systems will be fitted as standard on the LS 600h and LS 600h L (long wheel base) as well as the LS 460, launched earlier this year.
  14. No blue hybrid badge either so my guess is its a 300 or possibly a early 450 which didnt have the blue badge i believe until 2008
  15. The is absolutely no reason why anyone should talk you out of a LS460, it is obviously a upgrade car for you and a nice one at that, lots of talk from other on your post about the LS400, ive had a couple of 400s (over 10years ownership) and loved them but upgraded to a LS600hl which apart from the hybrid side is basically a 460 although mines the long wheel base with every bell and whistle supplied by lexus ie relaxation package but as i said just a 460 on steroids lol, it s a lovely car and far far superior to the ageing 400s, every car on the market will have its niggles over time.... so in my opinion i say go get the 460 ps the 460/600 isn't the right car for anyone worrying about mpg, coz you dont get much lol,
  16. Think you need to do a bit more research mate....2010 floor mounted dvds and as this is a 2011 everything is correct gear lever is also correct
  17. The was no error codes for mine either but after replacing seat element (and leather as all 1 part) it still didnt work and again no error codes stored anywhere, took back to lexus and upon further investigation it was the relay (even tho i had pointed this out to them the first time they ignored me and fitted a £1350 + vat element instead of a £10-20 relay... hayho there loss and my gain of a new leather seat lol
  18. This happened with my LS600hl when i jacked it up to replace all brake pads and discs, so must be normal for the air suspension on LSs ...either that or both our car buggered lol Ps I initially couldnt get jack out from under it when i lowered jack down....
  19. I wondered why my ears where getting burning hot unlike your seat coz my name mentioned (sorry i just had too) yes my seat initially worked fine when i bought car but a year later started to heat up then just blew cool air up my jacksy after 10mins and like you described wouldnt heat up till car restarted but again 10mins later no heat, lexus replaced heated seat leather with element but again didn't operate correctly so sent back and fault ended up being a relay, all covered by my warranty
  20. Ls600hl owner now for 2.5yrs best car ive ever owned,
  21. I'm very lucky then, I'm £165 fully comp on my LS600hl ...
  22. I have a LS600hl with relaxation pack, ....... Had it a couple of years now so anything you want to ask just ask away....
