  1. you guys are priceless. The cigarette lighter works fine so electrics are ok. I checked for your other suggestion and guess what the rear left brake light is out.

Thanks for the pointers guys i would have looked a right burk down at the dealers.

PS. Not being car minded, what do i do just stick in another brake light bulb? I can do it my self from inside the boot right? Just a simple bulb change right?

    Thanks

  2. Well its Friday so its the end of the week.... what to do oh what to do? I feel bad for leaving others out but for the greater good of the group (buy) I suppose we go ahead without them?

Im counting down my 30 days already.... cant wait.

  3. :nuke: I phoned this company... http://www.lostcarkeys.co.uk/ and they said they will sort me out one remote OEM lexus master key and one non remote OEM Lexus master key seen as I have a valet key already. This would mean i would have the full complete of keys i should have for IS200.

They will come to my work or house and can do it same day, programmed and everything all for a price of 400 pounds plus VAT.

I will give a few of my local Lex dealers a ring tomorrow and see what they are quoting and post the prices on here for all LOC members to see :nuke:

  4. I only have one (previous LOC post tells me i only have a valet key) key. i can get hold of a another master key on fleabay but it obviously 1, isnt programmed to my IS200 and 2, the keys blade is not the same as mine. The advert says i can "easily change the blade and have it reprogrammed to my own car".

Is this true and if so where can i get it done and how much will it cost so i can factor those costs in if i decide to buy this key?

    Thanks.

  5. My handbrake warning indicator in the dash wont turn off. I have applied and released the handbrake many times to make sure but the indicator stays on all the time. The car drives as normal as far as i can see, and i have been on the motorway to Heathrow too (at 70mph+) with no adverse reactions so does that mean the indicator is just faulty or that my handbrake is kaput?

How can i rectify it and more importantly how much will it cost does anyone know?

    Any help much appreciated.

  6. I just got my IS200, i have noticed, and it was advertised as such, that it is badged in gold. Im not a big fan as the gold is ever so slightly fading. The "L" (front grill and back) the "Lexus" and the "IS200" badges are all like this.

I was thinking about removing everything on the back and changing the font grill to a "TRD" one or one that looks like a TRD one.

My question to LOC members is, is this a suitable move for a standard non mod 2000 reg SE Auto Navigator and if so whats the best way to do it, just yank the badges off?.... wont that leave unsightly marks on the car where the badges used to be? How to remove them?

Please advise, especially if you have done it to so i can learn from your experience.

PS. I know its not the biggest or most technical mod in the world but thats why you guys are here... to advise and reassure :D

  7. Of course, if you go visit the right dealer you will benefit from up to 15% discount as you are a Gold Member!

Oh i see now.... Im so stupid. I thought Mr T was a member.... i was doing a search for him. As my Gold pack hasnt turned up yet i do not know which dealers participate and which dont. Until my pack arrives im blind.... can a Gold member inform me of any Toyota/Lexus dealers in Central/East London participating in the scheme?
