  1. Hello all. I have taken the screen out as instructed in the above links and tried to clean the cable but no joy - ie screen still only works when i keep pressing tilt. So i think i will invest in a new cable. But my problems is whats the cable called on cpc.co.uk and where does the cable end? Ie one end is in the sat nav unit , no probs but where does the other end go? IF im gonna replace it i need to know that right?

    Thanks

  2. My factory fitted, dashboard mounted motorised sat nav screen isnt working. The guidance still works as i can still hear the voice prompts. The screen was playing up for a few weeks not working all the time unless i press the tilt button and then it would come back and go again. Also sometimes if i went over a pot hole or a large bump then the screen would go blank. Is it a loose connection somewhere? Where can i find and resolve these issue?

 Ironically the sterio has also packed in now within days of the sat nav. Again the sterio works but does not load CDs, it did give me the dreaded error 3 a few months back but when i turned it off and on again it fixed it self. Now though there is no way of loading a CD into the head unit of the sterio (CD's load at the bottom of the unit version) as when i press the CD mode button nothing happens. All other features of the sterio work fine and dandy. Any suggestions?

I do not think the two issues are related in any way whatsoever.

Thanks for your help in advance.

  3. I do around 300 miles per week through town going to and from East London to Heathrow. Sure i have an automatic but i drive like a gent (IMO) and definetly not like a boy racer but it still costs me around 55 pounds a week. :crybaby:

Its the only thing i HATE about my IS200. Enough to make me consider getting rid of it.

  4. I had mine done by www.gtgrafix.com - their website is great. They claim to be based in Ireland (tax reasons i presume) but everything else points to them being Manchester based.

Next day delivery and reasonable prices - not the best though - but i think their quality and design variations make up for this.

Take a look if your after non standard/legal plates.

  5. A point very eliquently made Galla 4!

On the aspect of aggressive pricing for the forthcoming IS220... i very much doubt it. I bet the big franchises try and bum us for every pound they can!

Thats business! :yack: Up to LOC members to try wring every penny we can back by advising and critising I suppose.

    :tomato:

  6. I saw one on the North Circular Road yesterday. I say I saw it but only for a second.... the guy who was driving it was doing in excess of id guess 90mph.... what i saw it looked awesome. And the way it took off from just past the Barking Gatso id say it is a stonker to drive too.

One day I too will get one! One day! :)

  7. Update have ordered the brake pads from Brakes International as they were cheapest for standard replacement pads. Very nice webpage HOWEVER once ordered you will get an auto email asking you to confirm your delivery address. However that email comes back failed as not recognized. Im awaiting business hours so i can ring them and confirm. Not really an online ordering process then is it?

We shall wait and see.

  8. I need exactly the same repalcements as I_Love_MY_IS200.

I dotn know much aboout garage ?etiquet? but can we not buy the parts from the above recommended places and just get the local garage to fit them. Or is that not the done thing?.... only ask as i could never fit the brakes my myself but still obviously wantd the cheapest price.... how long a job is it for a garage? 1 hour, 2 hours? for rear disc and pad replacement? Whats a reasonable labour only charge for such a job if i provided them the parts.

  9. NO FAIR!
