  1. Oops. Hope she wasn't too much of a 'bunny boiler'. What is it we're meant to say - plenty more fish in the sea? Not much comfort I know, but chin up chick ;)
  2. My IS comfortably fits my friends in the back no problem.
  3. Same here. I was being messed around by a dealer when I tried to get my bodywork sorted out after the car was vandalised. The woman on the end of the phone was very polite and efficient but again, just got the dealer to call me. No other follow-up.
  4. Best I look to trade my Lexus in then....Volvo Estates in duck poo green, here I come
  5. I guess it's bad form then to wait until your hubby is filling the windscreen washer bottle up, and then test the light washers?!?!
  6. To a lot of women (me included!) the "it was only s*x, it didn't mean anything" has got to be worse. It means that they would be jeapordising a relationship for something they're trying to pass off as trivial and meaningless <_< ....woman's logic :D
  7. I've also had the same problem on mine. The mats have the clip but have come loose and got lost. The mats are Lex Vehicle Leasing ones, not Lexus though
  8. My timing was perfect as usual. Just popped in just after the guys were talking about things that probably lead to their porn star names?!?!?!
  9. I test drove the Seat CupraVT and the performance was great but I felt the interior/overall spec wasn't as high as the Lexus. When I phoned up to get insurance quotes on the Seat, when the insurance people stopped laughing, I was being quoted i.r.o £4-6k !!!!! With the Lexus, use Shell Optimax, you should get more mpg
  10. Err, exactly what I meant ! :ooh-ducky:
  11. Although of course there's the argument that you just shouldn't accelerate fast and also that you've got brakes.... :eerrrmm:
  12. I'm sure the techies will describe this better, but I use the snow button when there's a good chance of ice or slippery roads. It just seems to stop you accelerating too quickly and skidding.
  13. It's nicely laid out and quite easy to navigate.
  14. That's a really good return on supermarket fuel! I did a bit of a test to see what fuel was best for aiding the mpg. I was getting around 300 miles a tank on supermarket fuel, 320ish on normal unleaded and around 340-350ish on super unleaded.
  15. I think by and large you help make your luck and it's down to your attitude and approach to people. That said, I'm trying to work on my own luck at the moment as I'd like to get my dream job, earn more and keep my family in the manner to which they'd like to become accustomed
  16. Blimey, he's been too spoilt by far this month - a PS2 game, a hawk handling day in Stratford, a new car, that's it now! I'm going to have to have words with his parents, how inconsiderate having him so near to Christmas! And it means I'm not allowed to put up the Christmas tree until a few days before. So for Christmas he'll be getting a tangerine, a bag of chocolate money and some socks Ho, bloomin', ho :hohoho:
  17. Someone my husband works with got a letter to say he's paid enough NI contributions to retire now should he choose to (he's 61). He rang them up and asked if that meant he wanted to continue to work, he would now be exempt from paying NI. Bet you can't guess what the answer was!!! Anyone under the age of about 30 will probably not get a state pension when they get to retirement age. Now we'll soon be able to work until we're 70, it shouldn't be an issue <humpf>. Is this what Mr Beveridge meant by 'from the cradle to the grave' ?
  18. The pedestrians jump out of the way though, sometimes you have to turn around a couple of times before you hit them BTW, I promise I don't usually advocate this type of behaviour ;)
  19. Not a fan of Saab I'm afraid. I always think they look a bit out-dated, although not seen the new 9-3
  20. Er, mission? I may have missed the point of the game somewhat. I've been chasing pedestrians, crashing into buses and going the wrong way down one-way streets. My husband was up till am playing this game. I've heard of golf widows but this is ridiculous
  21. From my perspective on the baby front, definitely in agreement. Never thought I'd be a baby bore, now I'm the world's worst! Never been very good at balancing work and other-half but a baby stops you being such a workaholic. Wouldn't recommend it for everyone though
  22. It was my hubby's birthday on Saturday and I bought him the PS2 Game - The Getaway. How cool? Loads of realistic shots of London and loads of Lexus cars!!! Lot's of IS200's and LS430's. AND the gangsters drive SC430's. Cool. Almost makes me enthusiastic over 'pointless' computer games
