  1. I had my right set of wisdom teeth removed at the dentists. Bit ugh, but not too bad. Just the crunching sound puts you off - I'd rather be knocked out :duh:
  2. Thanks Chris. I know a few people have signed up, but we need a few more to make it a meet rather than a soiree ;)
  3. Rightio chaps and chappesses. I am very happy to announce the first LOC meet of 2003! Please sign up via this link: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/meets/ Brooklands Museum is the 30 acre site is where motoring, aviation and innovation developed throughout the 20th Century. The pride and joy of the motoring collection is the Napier Railton (one of the first land speed record holders). The Grand Prix Exhibition and the Campbell shed are also certainly worth a visit. Take a look at www.Brooklandsmuseum.com to see what sort of a day you're in for. Apart from all the exhibits, what better way to start the year than to spend the day than with your Lexus cohorts ;) Come on if you think you're hard enough....!
  4. Hi Mr Lex, welcome to the site. Gold membership is either £25 or £35 can't remember off-hand. Use the link in my signature to check the Goldmember registration details. Most people save the join-up fee around their first service etc, so it's worth it. Then there's discounts on parts, insurance....ah, go on take a look for yourself :D BTW, how did you hear about us?
  5. I average 330 miles on a tank. Seem to get a fair bit more if I get Shell Optimax though. On average I get about 28mpg, depends on how many commuter 'stuck in traffic' journeys I do
  6. Mine too. How do they usually work - are they connected to the speedo?
  7. Be careful with a hot exhaust....
  8. And switch between the recycle and fresh air part of the aircon. This may help?
  9. Police should be better protected, not necessarily armed.
  10. My other half has said no to the sensors, he's not keen on them for some unbeknown reason. Especially as I'll be insured to drive it, and I've never parked an Estate car before, I think this could be a bad call ;)
  11. The Slough Posse!!! Right, illegal tints all round, fluffy dice and I'll race you from the traffic lights Let's 'do' lunch one day - your canteen sounds better than ours and an atruim, phew, now THAT's quality
  12. Ridiculous isn't it - I survived intact :outforcount: :outforcount:
  13. It's very easy for me to claim ignorance. I am largely ignorant when it comes to things like this! I am the bain of IT supports life, but hey, I keep them amused !!! I don't think they are particularly vigilant with these things. Though to make sure I always delete the Internet history/temporary files and cookies. Not, to be honest, that I access stuff very often. If I do it tends just to be LOC ;) Thanks for the advice all :D
  14. Prefer the stick to the sack! Best not risk it then m me'thinks! :(
  15. Ooh, you learn something new every day! I didn't know that B)
  16. As most of you seem to work in IT (me too!), please can you answer my question - what would happen if you found MSN chat on a user's PC? i.e. am I likely to be beaten with a big stick should I install it on my work PC
  17. I stood in the corner whipping myself with a wet kipper as recompense for such terrible service to LOC. If I see your car I will make sure it is stickered! I work in Slough but on the Bath Road near Curry's and PC World. I don't go into town very often (quicker to get to Windsor sometimes), but when I do, I park in the Observatory. I was at Yellow Pages/Yell yesterday to see some friends but didn't see your car. Mine's (a very dirty) blue IS200 Sport. Make sure you wave if you see me :D
  18. You're member 1782, so there's got to be nearly 1800 forum users here. Not sure how many Goldmembers there are, probably 100 or so?
  19. You need an excuse?! I had a MkIII Escort - full of holes and banana yellow. Quality!
  20. Oops. Hit a nerve? If it's easier you can send a cheque to Steve (Administrator), PM him and he'll let you have all the info. I've stopped being facetious now
  21. You've never put one on mine... Well, hopefully you've got all the club stickers so I won't have to :P
  22. How do you get on with car insurance Jenners? We had a Jap-import VTEC Prelude and got whacked once we found someone who would insure imports :(
  23. If you were a member of the very *exclusive* Goldmembers, you would indeed have some really nice sticker samples to adorn your beloved (the car, Dribble, the car). So, yes, it's a fantastic idea to have stickers to advertise the club. Why don't you part with a meagre amount, enjoy the discounts on parts/servicing/insurance etc. Just click on the link in my signature.... :P
