  2. Generally I use Unleaded, but the car really likes Optimax and I get slightly better mileage out of it too. I try and use Optimax at least once a month.
  3. My petrol light's come on and I was late for work etc etc. So I can safely say at least 12 miles!!! Need to go to the garage on the way home tonight
  4. That explains a lot. My hubby had pinched the car for a quick jaunt to the shops....tsk!
  5. And do they know you're surfing the web on their computer ?!?!
  6. In fact, my comment to Lexus GB was that if I had wanted to be sodded about, I would have gone to a car supermarket and bought a Ford or Vauxhall
  7. The dealership are ok-ish. I was pee'd at them as I had body work done at Lexus Twickenham when I lived Slough way (they could do the car and provide a courtesey car quicker). When I moved to Warfield, 2 mins away from Bracknell, and needed the drivers window leccy motor sorting, they kept fobbing me off that it was something Twickenham had done. I was passed from pillar to post, backwards and forwards to Twickers and it didn't seem related to the work they had done. Just really got on my nerves that Bracknell didn't really seem interested in warranty work (maybe just want the hard cash!). As I said, they're ok but nothing startling. I had to get Lexus GB involved too and have the same opinion of them. Adequate but nothing to write home about.
  8. I'd be really surprised if Lexus do as well in the JD Powers survey again. Not sure if I just had unrealistic expectations (never had a new car before), but their customer service doesn't seem that good to me. Nice but dim...
  9. Where abouts in London are you Asam? Maybe if there's a member coming from your direction, you could grab a lift? Let us know...
  10. We had a cheapo bog standard immobiliser fitted to our Prelude V-Tec (condition of the insurance at the time). As cheap 'n' cheerful 'technicians' they were ok, and the kit was adequate (not brilliant quality) but I'm not sure I'd trust many mobile outfits on my current pride and joy.
  11. Ok, thanks, will do. The car started fine this morning! Seems to be very intermittent
  12. Ho, ho, ho....much merriment will be had by all !
  13. There's been a post on this fairly recently (can't find the thread). My IS200 has been the same today - seems to happen when it's cold and wet. My other half has suggested it could be somthing to do with the immobiliser? When I bought this up during my last service, the ECU hadn't recorded anything. I need to get back to the dealer but so little time, so much to do !
  14. I guess humour and lack-off (!) don't always translate well in forums :) Jas, to reiterate what's been said above, it'd be nice to have your participation whether reading or posting in forums :D The more the merrier.....!
  15. Not too sure where you'd get the gold badges, but I expect someone will let you know very soon! Please could you post your thoughts/experiences of your Lexus dealership here: http://lexusownersclub.co.uk/reviews/index.html The posts do get noticed and read and are of use to other club members. 22. Let's just hope it's all scare tactics. Surely no government of ours could be THAT organised....
