  1. Yeah, unfortunately you do need to tell your insurance company of any mods. If you have an accident or the car is stolen, if you've not told the insurance company they can use it as an excuse for not paying out.
  2. HOW MUCH <gasp> Blimey, hope Gold membership will help you save a packet on the costs :o
  3. Send MrBVG a PM - he's in Belgium ;)
  4. My IS is 2 years old in May and came with the Dunlops. I think Lexus changed the tyres on later models but I don't know the reasoning behind this - they've probably just got a better deal on price
  5. I would want to be the first to drive it properly though - putting those first miles on the clock. My IS200 was trailered down to Slough from Newcastle, 0 miles on the clock. :)
  6. Or buy a roof-rack - fresh air does them good ;)
  7. Too much wine....need shades.... B)
  8. Great news! We went to see the BTCC races a couple of years back - superb! We're getting to Gaydon for about 10.30
  9. Well, it's certainly accurate....
  10. I've never noticed that problem on my jets - does oiling/lubricating them help?
  11. Ask if they'll trailer it to you....
  12. I believe they're all laquared.....
  13. I've never owned an RX300 but had one for a weekend as a courtesy car - I certainly never noticed any untoward engine knocking sounds. Sounds like a very weak excuse, you should definitely go back to the dealers and use Wildrnes' argument! Come along to Gaydon on the 23rd - it would be great to have some RX300's !
  14. YEah, I'd be up for getting one - got to be better than the blue and yellow one that I have at the moment
  15. How much for Lexus to do it?!?!?! I think I'll use the garage I used to go to before I got my IS
  16. Yes. Only just twigged that this isn't meant to be - only checked because of the thread. I've done 29,500 miles. I'm going to the dealership soon about my alloys, I take it now is a good time to talk about the calipers too.... :(
  17. Congrats on your new car Baby Lexus. The first mod you should get is a nice club sticker!!! Join Gold, especially if you are looking at mods - it'll save you a packet. ;) B)
  18. you ***** Matt! I've been whistling the Umpa Lumpa tune from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory all afternoon. altogether now Umpa Lumpa Lumpa dee doo Both of you STOP - umpa lumpa dumpety doo. La lalalala lala laaaa...... :duh:
  19. If you don't get any joy, see if Lexus GB can help - let them know that the dealer is stalling until the warranty is out. Also post your experiences to the dealer review section, they do get read. Good luck...
  20. Yeah Michael, pleeeeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeeeeee come to Gaydon - I promise not to drool too much on the paintwork :D
  21. I'm pretty sure that you'll need to get your UK license before being allowed to drive your car over here. If you are driving in the UK on your US license, you are limited to the engine size you are legally allowed to drive - no greater than a 1.8 I think... Insurance will probably cost you in excess of £2,000 - best to get a lot of quotes
