  1. It's nothing to do with us guys.
  2. Please see this link for important info on Japfest arrangements: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...f=25&t=5317&hl= Thanks, Claire
  3. Before the organisers of Japfest will fully confirm our pitch, we have to pay up front as a club. For everyone who has committed to going, or for those of you that wish to go, we need your money by 23rd April - at the very latest. Please send your cheque for £5 Per Person, payable to the Lexus Owners Club to: Lexus Owners Club PO BOX 5258 POOLE BH149XJ Please PM me to confirm you have sent a cheque, and include your postal address so that passes can be sent to you. Admin will then send 1 cheque to the organisers to fit in with their deadlines. If your cheque is not received by the 23rd, you will still be welcome at Japfest, you just will not be able to park on the LOC/TOC pitch. Any queries, please send me a PM or post here. Thanks, Claire
  4. I'm with the insurance scheme run through Gold and have saved myself 80 odd quid. I've only got 1 years NCB too. Failing that, I'd also recommend Bell Direct.
  5. The pitch is being organised. Just as a heads-up, I may need your money up front before the pitch can be fully confirmed. Will let you all know asap
  6. Sorry to hear that, it must have been very distressing for you. I hope you are all ok. It's difficult to say what to do for the best but whatever you decide, either to keep the car or get rid of it, you have to be happy. I know that I've worked very hard to get the car and our house. I would be very bitter if I was made to give up either due to the fact that others don't want to make the same efforts in their lives. In our last place, my car was badly vandalised as some of our neighbours thought we were 'above our station' and objected to a Lexus being parked between the Ford XR3i's and Vauxhall Astras!!!! Anyway best of luck whatever you decide.
  7. Just in time for Summer - perfect :D
  8. Although the museum has a car park, it'll be too small for our needs. Please park in the pay & display which is 100 yards from the museum. Thanks, Claire Post converged and edited
  9. One of my friends has GPS on a Compaq IPAq. It costs about £400ish for the IPAQ and another £400 for the GPS. I was impressed with it, it works very well.
  10. "Come to Japfest and you'll get all the Jap-only track action you can handle at discount prices. A 12-car club track session costs £180 - that's just £15.00 per car. There's limited space available, so avoid missing out by booking now! Clubs can also book a power run at the mobile rolling road for only £20 (only 60 runs available)" Please let me know if this is of interest and I will book it. I am in the process of booking a club pitch and will start a separate post once all the details have been confirmed. I'll also endevour to post re: trade stands etc If you are interested in the track session please let me know ASAP as space is very limited. We would also need the money up-front. Thanks, Claire
  11. Octogon Lexus in Bracknell confirmed yesterday that they'll replace my corroded alloys. Yipee!!! It's booked in for 1st May.
  12. Ooh, that's gotta hurt. How annoying!
  13. And as if by magic.... :D I have a Britax one for my nipper (not sure of the model but it's from about 9months - 11 years). I find it fits ok especially as the seatbelt ratchets back securely. Wildrnes has an absolutely brilliant kiddie seat as it looks as though it's got the exmoor finish. Er, yes, and the safety is good to. I'll find out the Britax model and let you know.
  14. What hope is there if even the meet whore says 'no'
  15. Come on now people, don't be shy....!
  16. Waste 'em. Name and shame and tell them you've shared your experiences with the 100's of fellow Lexus drivers.
  17. Saw it last night, it's really good. Hat's off to Honda's ad agency!
  18. How do they select people for the Open Road events? I was lucky enough to go last year and would love to attend another one !
  19. Good idea, but don't think they'll ever go for it as mechanically the cars are not affected and aren't dangerous. The recall costs far outweigh what it costs Lexus if and when people return to the dealers and complain. If you think, the alloys and corrosion are a well known problem and it's STILL hassle to sort them out with some dealerships! Mine's off to Octogon Lexus on Weds, so hopefully they'll be an exception and replace my wheels without any arguments ;)
  20. Bracknell Meet - Sunday 25th May 2003 For those of you who read Jap Performance, you may have already seen this advertised. The organisers are hoping to attract around 400 Japanese performance cars, and of course that wouldn't be complete with a few Lexus'. Entry is about £3 per car and the event will be fully marshalled, marque specific parking and food/drink outlets. Starts from midday (although exact opening TBC) Venue: Coppid Beech Hotel (opposite Octogon Lexus) John Nike Way Bracknell Berks Off B3408 A329(M) Jnct 10 M4 Jnct 3 M3 Map: http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=4...&multimap.y=273 Please add your names to this post if you can make it. This will allow me to confirm numbers with the organisers
