  1. Probably AutoGlym Gloss Protector or something along those lines?
  2. Hey Michael, hope you're enjoying yourself. Who's looking after your car? You can always leave the keys with me...
  3. As Supercharged says, get them to stamp the 30 and 40k service book. If you are keen on getting the car, get them to put in writing that they have done a full service and will honour the warranty in case of any future issues.
  4. It's certainly different and I bet it gets tonnes of attention where-ever it goes. My tastes are a bit more subtle but I like the idea behind the paint job. I'd like to see it in a stronger colour
  5. I don't have time to leather my car off each time, so I use a hydra blade instead. It works quite well and I don't get many water marks. I also haven't found Turtle Wax to be that good and have just bought some Zymol from Halfords - that seems to be a lot better.
  6. Yeah could be up for that :D I have absolutely no sense of direction and no sat-nav, so will speak to my hubby about which way we'll go and let you know.
  7. Zee's a secret shandy drinker really, he'll be right up for a southern meet surely
  8. I'm getting invalid username and password... Any tips Torrent/Steve? (Brilliant idea BTW :D )
  9. Yippeee. Does this mean we can have a successful Southern mini-meet ?!?!? :D
  10. Announcement to be made soon :)
  11. Best get all our LOC banners out then!
  12. That happens to my IS too. Not sure what it is, but I'm assured it's nothing to worry about.
  13. Happy Birthday! Hope you are doing something nice to celebrate. What a brilliant birthday cake, bet you didn't want to cut it! All the best, Claire & family
  14. I'm pleased to announce the inaugral Lexus Owners Club Christmas Party! Held on 6th December, we have booked The National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham, as a venue. Well used to hosting corporate events and events for the motortrade, they will be treating us to: * 3-course menu, and crackers, hats etc * DJ/Disco * Plentiful bar open 'til late * Discounted rooms at a local, very nice, hotel As an added service to LOC members, we shall be organising security to ensure our pride and joys stay safe. The price for the LOC Christmas Party is £35 per person. Hotel rooms are available at £60 for a single and £70 for a double room. We are now taking deposits to secure your place at the party and, if needed, the hotel room. The deposit for the party is £20 per person (non-refundable After Aug 31st). Please post here if you are likely to require a hotel room. All are welcome! Please come along and help us celebrate a successful year for the Lexus Owners Club. 15. I just wondered how much the 'weirdo' car accessory cost you Mr-Lex
  16. You really are a meet whore Zee
  17. Least we shouldn't have a problem remembering names!!!
  18. Whilst hardly an expert (!), my alloys were replaced yesterday by Octogon Lexus in Bracknell. They seem to lacquer the back of the wheel now, whereas on my other wheels they weren't and that's where the corrosion crept in. The finish on the wheels seem a lot smoother too. To clean my wheels I use AutoGlym alloy wheel cleaner. Don't leave it on longer than the instructions say though as it is corrosive. I seem to remember through GOLD, there's a discount on an alloy wheel polish. I can't remember the name but Wildrnes did my wheels at Gaydon and it was really good stuff
  19. Anyone else scared Ok, I'll come clean, my IS is called Hefty - reg letters are HFT
  20. Congratulations Fargo, you'll have to show it off at one of the meets!
  21. Me! I'll trundle on down for about 10.30-11am !
  22. Keenly awaiting mine...just the thing to complement the Altezza poster and the IS200 model on my desk at work B) My less well-informed colleagues at work have nicknamed it anorak's corner (they all drive beemers)
  23. Sounds good. I'd be interested in a definite date/price.
