Sounds good. We keep on trying to get together with Alaistair too - he works in the same building as me but works from home mostly.
It'll be a bigger meet than the one at Bentley
I have more enthusiasm than ability at these things (have been karting several times before). I'd be up for some fun races or as a spare driver on occasion.
I always let in other Lexus drivers!
What irritates me is when you let someone out of a junction, let them out in front of you on the motorway etc etc. no bugger ever seems to say thank you.
You'll find that you get far more goodies loaded as standard on a Lexus anyway. If you are worried about costs, you can always take your Lex to a Toyota dealership - costs per hour are cheaper. If you get a Lexus with a full service history, you should find that you get more miles out of a Lex, they go on forever...!
The shandy was the same price as normal. But the bacon butties, now they were quality!
Pee.J, Bazza, nice to see you and your better halves again!
We came, we saw, we fed the ducks....
Go for it, TOC feedback would be good too!
Zee, I don't get all the Jap car mags - any meets in particular (the one in Bracknell was advertised in one of the mags that my friend picked up).
Wildrnes - PORTMEIRION - Deffo!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm looking into possible venues for meets next year and am looking for your suggestions and feedback :)
Some suggestions already are:
Go-karting
Virginia Waters in Surrey
Shakespeare Raceway in Stratford
Gaydon
Japfest
JAPS
JAE
Goodwood - Festival of speed or similar
Silverstone - BTCC races
If you have any suggestions of places that would make good venues for meets, please feel free to post here.
Thanks,
Claire
No problems with my car, my parent's are quite impressed. My dad still smacks my knuckles if I cross my hands on the steering wheel though (throwback of him teaching me to drive!)
I hope you have some luck in recouping your losses, but I suspect you'll have to find alternative means to relying on the police.
A couple of years ago someone ran into the back of my dad's car and drove off. He and one other person caught sight of the registration number and had the make, model of car and a description of the driver. Unfortunately the police couldn't (wouldn't?) help as again it would be the driver's word against 2 others. My dad even said he didn't want to pursue a prosecution, just wanted the guy's details to pass to the insurance company. The police couldn't oblige as this would be against the data protection act.
<_<
I noticed it when I first got my car and was assured by the dealership that it's normal. I've got used to it now and don't think about it or notice it now
