Depends really, if I'm in a boy-racer mood, then I use 2nd, if not then it eventually gets put into 6th! ;)

Wheels and paintwork are the biggies to me. Check for bad stone chips at the front and check that the alloys aren't corroded. It's also a good idea to test the stereo with a CD to make sure there's no Err3 messages. If you buy through a dealership/garage you should be fine though - just check out the service history.

How about the silver and the grey? Like PeeJ's wheels (er, apart from the fact they are silver and black). Do a search and it should come up with a recent post/pics of the wheels. (I'd do it myself but I'm pretending to be working!)

It's going back in again on Thursday, so I'll mention all of this to them. It's more of an irritant than anything else, but I don't want to be stuck with it after the warranty's up (I'm thinking about buying the car from the lease company next year)

You're there in September?! Me too (hurrah!). Booked a very nice apartment in Kissimee (discount rates via GOLD!), and my husband, son and my parents are out there for a couple of weeks. I can't wait :D

It's definitely worth shopping around and seeing what you can get. I tried the LOC scheme, Bell Direct, Direct Line, Tesco's, Elephant.co.uk and loads more (basically looked through the Yellow Pages). The LOC scheme worked out cheaper for me AND I got more for the money. Give it a go, you may find it works for you... -

I didn't save as much as the others on the LOC insurance scheme, but I still shaved off £80 off my policy! -

On the last Open Road, I got to drive the SC430 which has a Mark Levinson stereo - it's brilliant!!! The quality is excellent!!! -

Anyone going? I got an invite to the event which I duly sent off but I haven't heard anything since. Do Lexus write confirming that you can go? The event is on the 23rd, so time is ticking. Do I need to wait for written confirmation or take it that everything's ok?

Oh B*ll*cks It wasn't far from Station Road - going towards the little industrial estate there. I might try writing a letter and try my luck - won't hold my breathe though. My husband told me to deny knowledge of who was driving. He read something about the legality of implicating yourself??? Not sure of the merits of this though. If I have been nicked it'll cost an out-and-out fortune. Not only the fine, but the lease company charge an admin fee for passing the fine on. Grrrr. Never been booked before....
