  1. I have the refurbed wheels and have found that just soap and water does the job, but used to use the Autoglym alloy wheel cleaner which was always good - especially if I'd not touched them for a couple of weeks
  2. Washed mine this morning with the hose. I would be gobsmacked if the paint started washing off of my car, at least you had the presence of mind to film it - bet they won't be arguing with you!
  3. Went paintballing a few years ago and it was just the best fun!!! We went in winter, the paintballs hurt like hell and the bruises were reeaaaaallllly bad, but it was GREAT !
  4. Awww Bazza, don't you love us anymore :P
  5. Thanks for the info, I'll get a couple of quotes.
  6. My, er, beloved husband, managed to curb one of my wheels badly last night (driving in London and a curb just jumped up and attacked him!) I know Scorpion's had his wheels refurbed in the London area, but do any of you know of anywhere a bit closer to my home - Bracknell, Reading, Slough area? Any ideas as to how much it'll cost me
  7. Personally I think the majority of members have helped make LOC a pleasurable experience :D I think the committee and moderators deserve special mention for having the vision, enthusiasm and drive to make this the best Lexus club on the net. Also for sticking with it even when I'm sure at times varying frustrations must crop up to make them wonder why they do this, and why they do it for free!!!
  8. Since laptop thefts from cars became fairly commonplace on the Bath Road in Slough, I now drive everywhere with the doors locked even if I have passengers. Not sure if I'd see red and retaliate if someone tried to carjack my IS but I'd certainly scream blue murder!
  9. Had one the other week, the chap actually stopped at the end of the slip road as I don't think he could see properly to pull out as his wing mirror was cracked... People on roundabouts who drift across the lanes nearly taking you out.... I, of course, am a perfect driver and feel perfectly comfortable discussing other peoples' driving faults :shutit:
  10. You can still use your hands free, just make sure you aren't holding the phone. Stick it in the centre console or on the passenger seat. You can only (at the moment) be fined for holding the phone.
  11. I've got the same book (bought it at the last Gaydon meet), really, really good - very interesting read and lots of piccies :)
  12. Maroon 5 - top, top band Aerosmith Starsailor Dave Matthews Band Rolling Stones Matchbox20 :)
  13. Bet he won't be making that mistake again, poor bloke!
  14. Any rough idea on price? Also, is this something I would be able to fit myself easily enough?
  15. Work were pretty good and all of us with company mobiles had in-car kits fitted. Apparently you're fine tapping all the buttons and making/taking calls as long as the handset isn't on your person (lap etc)
  16. Glad they found it, any way they can nick the :tsktsk: that stole it?
  17. Sink . . . Lino floor . . . Bleach . . . Loo brush . . . Liquid soap I give up!
  18. And nice weather too to take it for a spin! Enjoy!!!
  19. What's the difference between talking on hands free and chatting to a passenger? Obviously if you get a call or want to make one it's better to do it whilst you're stationary, especially if it's work and you need to concentrate on stuff, but I don't see the issue in chatting whilst you're driving if you're sensible and use your common sense.
  20. Sounds as though they've got the work experience lads working on it. My car's not long been back from Lexus Edgware Road after it was hit by a lorry and I was really surprised and pleased with the results. Minor grump was that I had to take it back as the boot was slightly misaligned, but apart from that it was great. Sounds as though you've not had as much luck, let us know how you get on!
  21. Helicopter flying lesson - petrifying and exhilerating all in one go!
  22. Perhaps we can do a North vs South competition to see who can raise more money ;)
