  1. Have fun - bit different to your usual shoot 'em ups!!! http://www.7fire.com/flash/TurkeyShooter.swf
  2. I got Dawn - least I didn't get a fella :P
  3. Errr, I can only think of 6 ! 1) The Shawshank Redemption 2) The Green Mile 3) Pay it Forward 4) One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest 5) The Princess Bride 6) Up Close & Personal Make that 7 - how could I forget the Rocky Horror Picture Show :D
  4. I think Maxine Carr is guilty of gross stupidity and naivety, but what you have to remember with s*x offenders/paedos that they are incredibly manipulative and go to great lengths to protect themselves and lie and cheat to get support from others. In many cases, paedos have got away with abusing the children of people they know, such is their ability to gain trust in families. From the sound of it, this is what Maxine Carr had to put up with. She started coughing-up info once she had hard proof Ian Huntley was a sicko. She was convinced by Huntley that he would be stitched up by police due to the allegations he previously faced and wanted to protect him. Not the right thing to do by any means but I don't believe she's inherently evil. They think she will be out of prison by May at the latest and I think she'll have a harder time of it than Huntley who is afforded some protection in prison. She's been labelled the new Myra Hindley and will live with that for the rest of her days.
  5. Wish him all the best from me Zee. Hope things pick up for him over Christmas and the New Year.
  6. I agree with Fidgets that previous shouldn't be mentioned unless there's a direct link to the current case. Glad there's been some justice for the families affected by Huntley and hope that there's no room for the :tsktsk: to appeal. He's shown no remorse or respect for the family by pleading not-guilty. It doesn't seem just that he'll be put away at Her Majesty's pleasure with 3 square meals a day, free TV (no need to pay a TV licence), free gym membership, a right to free further education. Anyone think our prisons are too soft?!
  7. Chin up matey, not long now to Christmas. Hope your day improves -well, it's bound to really - it's nearly time to go home :)
  8. Fantastic news Mark - congratulations on her safe arrival, chuffed for you mate!!! Post some piccies... :)
  9. Gulp. Glad it's under warranty for a bit longer!
  10. On a couple of occasions now, when I've been leaving the house first thing and it's been freezing cold, I hear a funny squeeking noise from the engine bay. I wondered at first if it could be the fanbelt, but my husband said it sounded like it could be coming from the power steering. It's an IS200, coming up to 3 years old (April/May) and has done 38k miles. Any ideas? I have to take it into Lexus anyway, but just wanted some pointers so that I don't seem a complete div when I explain what it's doing... Thanks!
  11. Go on, I'll bow to the pressure too. Wave your magic wand and see my original fiver turn into a tenner :winky:
  12. Of course you can bring a friend Kev but don't worry if you have to come by yourself, not many of us bite! Port Merrion never really got of the ground unfortunately - not enough interest to make it worthwhile. £300-£400 was probably a bit steep for a long weekend though...!
  13. I'll send you a fiver - PM me as to who the cheque should be made payable to and where to send it :)
  14. C'mon then Kev - you still in the land of the living after your Christmas do?!
  15. Good thinking Batman. I'll get onto the mags about a month or so before the meet :)
  16. Ah well, that's because the committee chaps have decided to do a 'Calendar Girls' and are photoshopping themselves, nude, into the photos... ;)
  17. This is a meet open to LOC.uk members and there aren't any trade stands. If you'd like to come along, please pre-register using the link a few posts above. Reason being we can then work out numbers and have your reg details to look out for you at the meet :)
  18. Love the one about the hula hoops under chair legs and the library/plane one
  19. I was in London the other night and didn't get a chance to pay the congestion charge before I went to the theatre. I came out about 10.45 and went to pay at the machine in the NCP, all the signs on the machine said the charge was a fiver, but the display kept asking me for £10. I gave up trying and went to pay at a petrol station on the way home. Apparently if you pay after a certain time you get clobbered a tenner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was not a happy bunny, especially as it's not particularly busy that time of night <grrrr> :tsktsk:
  20. You're going to be tomorrow! Hope you have fun! What's your worst Christmas do? Mine was last year - an evening of wine tasting then writing a marketing plan around the wines. Unfortunately I couldn't get a babysitter that night, what a shame :shutit:
  21. A bit more difficult to sling over your shoulder and burp, Steve :P
