Try Bell Direct, they were always good for me and I *think* they cover mods. They were one of the cheapest insurers around when I first got my Lex although I've since defected to the LOC scheme and now I'm nearing 30...!!!

£160 seems a bit steep to me for the Dunlop SP9000's. Kwick Fit do my tyres (they're who the lease hire company send me to!) and last time I got some they were around the £119 mark. TwoTone, looks as though it's worth giving the Cooper Avons a shot if they've been recommended and they're as cheap as that!

Blasted Pot Holes And Wheels

Take some photos of the pot hole and traffic or better still a video of cars hitting it (if you did, it's likely others are doing the same) and contact the council. Get a name of who you need to follow it up with and send it to them recorded delivery with a letter claiming reimbursement for the damage. Good luck! -

It's gutting really isn't it. I'm not sure what practical help I can offer, but I usually can phrase things ok in letters and stuff if that's of any help? Background in marketing helps.... Hope it all turns out ok for you both petal. Still think if she can get another job it may be worth jotting a line to the press. Some may be interested in an employee forced to leave after protecting mass-supermarket chain's profits. Not the nicest things to do, but I suppose it's an option if all else fails...

Works for me everytime!!!! Er, well, I mean, my husband likes the car...er, and me hopefully... Actually the guys at work really like the car and it would be a good chat up line if I were single :D Whether or not I find guys with decent cars attractive I don't know, but at this stage of my life, I'm sure I'd find a Lexus driver more attractive than a Nova driver - not anything about the type of car, more the age of the driver

Feel for you mate, it's such a difficult situation especially when some employers treat you like a number rather than a real person. Get her to document everything and once she's been there a year she has more rights. Has she contacted HR in Head Office and had a chat with them? Maybe pass over the local store goons...
