  1. Ive got about 5 or 6 on the route to work its a bit crazy maybe the lexus brighton branch havent sold there lot yet ? So any ideas on the poster or should i just chuck it ?
  2. Cambelt alone on mine cost over £400
  3. Ok this is very random but i had to do it. Over the road from one of my jobs theres a few billboards a load of IS-F posters have been put up along the road between brighton and worthing it looks fricking mint in the photo. Anyways this afternoon im at work and it sitting out the front doors and i get to look at it ever time i turn a corner, what a bonus. Then 2 mins later its gone, they've only moved it to another one 100 meters down the road. So anyway after being a little peeved off i have to go out side and help out a customer. On the way back i see that the whole poster has been dumped in the bushes at the front of work. I thought dam thats a shame, got inside and thought "i wonder if its ripped" then "naaaa dont be stupid is blooming massive" after an hour or so i had a little walk out side and got the whole thing and folded it up LoL. Its a bit ripped here and there and its missing the top corner but i rekon with some good chopping here and there it could be used again. I had to fold it up and drive 7 miles on my scooter with a massive flipping poster between my legs i did chuckle. Anyways I now have it in my front room and thought i'd post up for ideas i though if anyone can be arsed and has enough room it could be folded out chopped to make it look half decent then used for JAE or if someone really wants they can hand on there house LoL The main reason i took it was if i dont take it no one will believe me LoL So heres the beast in all its glory on the billboard And this is it folded in half on the floor at my work LoL this side is worse than the other the paper used is pretty thick and strong Let the ideas commense :D
  4. Tyger you came along and said this last year a couple of my mates bought it and sold it on as it was more of a fasion statement than anything else. And its not set the world alight or even had a blip on the mobile market. I will never buy one not because i dont like it just because it doesnt suit my life style, im always under a car or got greasey hands so the phone would get utterly destroyed. You said in a previous post that the N95 is ugly and you feel sick thinking about it this just shows that you like it for its looks and the way the menus are all pretty and what not. I do agree with you that Apple are good at marketing there products and they do have alot of (no offence) but idiots like yourself that seems like they would lay down there lives for the company. Itunes is very good everyone knows that. Mac computers are very good for editing etc but fall down in other areas. The Iphone is good for flashing out your pocket and trying to look Oh so cool. I think you really need to take a chill pill and see that other people have other opinions than yours and that you might not be right about it, i very much doubt in the next few years everyone walking around with an Iphone because if eveyone does it wont be cool to have one. I for one am looking for a free PS3 with my next phone deal :D yippy GT5 when that comes out. Sell whatever phone they give me and keep my N95 as its not let me down once since i've had it, and now ive got the garmin sat nav on it, its even better. Also theres one main thing that i think EVERYONE has been missing is it not just a phone and there are far more important things in the world to be thinking about rather than arguing over a stupid bit of "new tech". Just my thoughts
  5. Talking of bikes which have reliability issues.... I was talking to a GS rider up in Scotland last week who said (and I quote him faithfully) "it's a great bike, but I'd never want to own one which was out of warranty". Sometimes, being a VFR owner make you very smug! :D there are a few issues with the immobiliser and fuel pump controller and the seal for the final drive can go, but for each person shouting about on forums i guess there are hundreds/thousands which dont have a problem. i like the bmw, it takes some getting used to and some funny noises but i have not had any issues at all. i guess u have seen the famous hitler video then? Rikos ....... decide if u want a sport bike type or a more upright riding position, think if u will do longer trips also consider the wind blast as that gets old very quickly! i do a daily commute round trip of about 100 miles so comfort is a big issue for me, large screen, upright position and decent range before petrol stops..... an other important factor. if ur into sports check out the ktm duke or to the other extreme..... big trailie style the ktm 990 adventure - they are fantastic machines and handle very well and most important GET A GOOD CHAIN AND GROUND ANCHOR FOR HOME - ALMAX CHAINS-NOTHING BEATS THEM! Good shout on the petrol tank you dont want anything to much under 20 litres for a minimum. I love the ktm duke not been on one but would love to have a good blat on one wheeeeeeeeeeeelie machines :D
  6. This is true i have loads of mates doing it in the next few weeks as its going to be a bit of a pig to pass after the summer. You deffo want to stay away from duc's if you want to save money, i know people who have got them they love them when there working but hate them when there broken and 50% of the time there broken and these guys only ride them sunday mornings etc so not very good at all. All the modern jap bikes are better than the duc's now unless you go and pay stupid amounts for the race spec jobbies. You can get some nice sit up and beg type things yamaha fazer uses detuned R1 engines and go like stink without any of the aches and pains of a sport bike, once you pass just go out and try a few out until you know what you want.
  7. Not quite that much but getting up in that region, thats from standard IS200 to complete ready and road going turbo. Most expensive thing was installation of ECu and mapping which was expected as everything else is just bolt on items.
  8. Sounds good Dave, if you need new pads one of the guys i work for and am sponsored by is UK Dixel Brakes distributor, after seeing him racing the other week lots of the nippon challenge people are changing to his stuff as even the Ferrodo racing pads and discs werent working as well as his (overheating/glazing). They've got everything from standard to slotted all the way to carbon and pads to suit, ive got a massive catologe somewhere and they do have disc to suit the IS200 just not sure what you would have if you've now gone to a Brembo set up. Also the buddy club honda integra type r (DC5) in timeattack he test drives for and after advising them to switch after some ferrodo's glazed and he put it in the kitty litter, they are also now running dixel products. Im getting a set of the heat discs , with a new BBK that should be avalible to the IS200 market soon :shutit: ;) http://www.dixcelbrake.co.uk/ If you want any give me a shout, as i dont think there are any prices on the website. Cheers Elliott
  9. Talking of RS4's its a track car but i've seen it go round a track and it did seem pretty impressive and its for sale, not sure how much though http://www.timeattack.co.uk/forum/viewtopi...?f=18&t=256
  10. Dont they have to take it round the block to make sure its all working ok and theres no rattles etc ?
  11. Not great to look at. Anyone think the rear end/lights look a little like the LS ones ?
  12. Sounds good mate. With the wiring did you have the loom from a manual or auto car ? Im getting the easy greddy e mang so it will be plug and play with the wiring loom im getting but is it hard to get all the lexus dash sorted ? If it is im thinking i might just scrap it and get some aftermarket rev counters etc. Good to see this is getting finished :D
  13. Im running 0.4 bar what ever that is in psi about 6 i think. Mine spools from 2000 rpm and hits full boost at just under 3000 rpm.
  14. Im running 196 at the rear wheel and not had any problems, but others who where running less than this have had engine failures. It really depends on how the engine has been run in and how its been treated over the years. You can pick up is200 engines very cheap though so if you do blow it up even though it is a massvie hassle you can replace with another engine.
  15. Sounds good Dave saw a silver IS-F at my local dealers very very nice. Hyper compressor ??? is this just Toms trying at glorify a supercharger ? I know hypercharging is a set above the rest but not done for a while (a few group b rally teams did it just before it was banned basically a turbo at full boost at all times driven by a gas turbine instead of exhaust gases). Will your IS-F be entering time attack or anything ?
  16. I was just 18 when i got mine i think sam was pretty young as well. Mine was turbo'd just before i was 21 think sam's beaten me there LoL I paid £2000 insurance my very first year on the lexus which isnt too bad considering my mates with the 1.1 fiat puntos where paying £1500 now £750 all mods declared, but just told them about the 1JZ conversion and they want £1700 think i might take it off the road unitll ive got a few more years ncb (ive got 5 already). I agree with the peeps about taking the hit now or later your just be pushing back that first big insurance hit.
  17. Ive played LFS quite a bit, pretty good game, the phyics are ok some are a little extreme but it probably one of the best out there for realism. I really want to get the G25 but feel i'll spend to much time on it and my car wont get done, so trying to concentrate on going racing for real :)
  18. Soarer TT all the way. You can pick them up in auto for around 2000, you can also get the same engine in the mk3 supras but are a little rarer. If he wants a manual he could get one but he'd have to look pretty hard and pounce on it when he does find it as they go flipping qucikly. 280hp as standard and with the stock twins you can up the boost to around 340-360 safely at 1 bar. You get a bit of class with them as well as its a lex :)
  19. And finally just some more Lap before the flip you can see Dixon was right up his chuffty I didnt get the flip but you can see how far the car has travelled from the inside line they take, it flipped over twice before landing on its wheels, the guy driving was fine, car wasnt. Its amazing as the only damage to our car was a scuffed wheel arch. Damage
  20. As you can see some oil issues Dixon and some of the team 2 front runners
  21. Well this weekend i was away for a round of the nippon challenge helping out time attack 2 years winner Dixon cheng in his honda integra type r DC2. First round at brans he blew the engine, so this was the first round with the new 2 ltr engine which had only been run in on dyno. We had some problems with crankcase breather system on the first day and then an oil union broken on the oil cooling system on day 2 but we got these sorted just in time. As we where the only honda there we abviously got 3 first places in that but we also got a 3rd a 2nd and a 3rd in the 3 races, against rx7's scoobies mr2 running much more power. We had a racing incident where dixon got on the inside on a MR2 and he shut the door which resulted in tyre contact which then flipped the MR2, complete right off unfortunatly, both drivers admitted to the incident as an accident. Here are some photos Left london at 5 friday eve (bad time) didnt get to hotel until 12pm :( Audi centre Going across bridge into wales The weapon Track shots
  22. Disapointed there wasnt a mug shot dave lol good read though, a big feature like that is sure to get the phone going a little more.
  23. Glad its not just me then. :D
  24. Enjoyed the police bit, but is anyone getting bored of clarkson, his ferrai bit was the same old, every car he test drives its either rubbish to begin with then amazing or he starts with it being good then says its bad at the end. Hes really started getting on my wick with his arragance, think everyone liking him so much has gone to his head. Also what the hell was the point in testing a pirus at full blat again the m3 which probably didnt get over 3000rpm in keeping up, im hoping everone on here knows that its the biggest load of crap test but i worry about the people who are a little dim and live on each of his words thinking that this is actually a vaild and has any relavance in fuel testing. Rant over Might just be me but thought i'd be the first to stick my head out for the chop LoL
  25. I was thinking about doing this to my is200 you can use the standard filters they'll just be further away. Im guessing but if you've got some really long pipes you might need to put more oil in as well to make up for the amount that would be trapped in the lines. You can get oil relocater kits from demon tweeks and merlin motorsports just need to get the right size thread.
