  1. Very nice, had mine for 4 years, and, even after that length of time I was still finding excuses to drive it. Enjoy
  2. Do you have to wait for the 1st bid before it shows a ''reserve'' ?
  3. Exactly what happened to me 2 months ago. Morrisons car park, returned to car and had the same damage as you, but to my rear door. Saw the Manager, he reviewed the CCTV and told me he could see the incident, and, as the car drove from the car park they could capture the reg.No. Supermarkets wont release CCTV footage as it's against the Law (Data Protection) He advised me to report the incident to the Police, they will go to the Supermarket, check the CCTV and decide which way to progress. Waited 2 weeks, phoned police and asked for an update. "These cases can take up to 6 months to resolve, Sir'' Thought I may as well take this one on the chin. Had the repair at Lexus, £1050. Where the marks are on your door there is apparently a strengthening bar which makes the job that much more difficult, obviously. A week later, a letter arrived from the Police stating that they had reviewed the CCTV and had been in touch with the other driver to remind them of their responsibility to other road users and supplied me with their Name and Insurance details but they will not be taking any further action. Received a phone call from their insurance 'Direct Line' saying they accept full responsibility for their driver. Told them I had had the repair done already, no problem Sir, send us the invoice. A phone call from them 2 days later, shall we make the cheque payable to you or the Repairers. Me, please, cheque arrived 2 days later, case closed. Go back to Sainsburys, ask them to review the CCTV. If they can see the incident, then report to the Police. Hard to judge from photo but I would think that needs to be done professionally. I see your in Hampshire, if you're not too far from the A3, PM me and I maybe able to help you out. Best of luck, Graham.
  4. If it's their fault, then demand that it goes to Lexus for repair. You don't have to go through their insurance company's repairers, insist it goes to Lexus. I'm guessing either Hedge End, or if not too far for you, Guildford. Lexus don't actually do the repairs themselves. They will be a Lexus approved repairer and the chances are that they will be approved by the 3rd party insurers also. Not sure where a £250 excess comes into it. If it's their fault and have admitted liability then it shouldn't cost you a penny. Probably over a weeks work but insist on a loan car, again, no cost to you.
  5. If you can wait til Friday, Lexus Chester are doing a one off ''BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE"", But only on Friday morning
  6. Many times a courtesy car from Lexus Guildford. Never been asked to pay for insurance.
  7. Hi Graham, what about these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Lexus-Wireless-Headphones-/152014412112?hash=item2364c3d950:g:XhEAAOSwP~tW5dWb
  8. I drive with Power switch on all the time, certainly feel the difference in response. However, when the car is returned from Lexus, after servicing or repairs, it's always switched off. Must ask them why next time.
  9. Hi George, Welcome to the LOC. You are now smitten with the Lexus Bug, there's no going back. Enjoy your new car. Is this your 1st. Lexus? Graham.
  10. Hi Usman, welcome to LOC. Have a look at these http://www.amazon.co.uk/LEXUX-GENUINE-PHILIPS-XenEco-GERMAN/dp/B0169QYGO4/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1455047102&sr=8-7&keywords=d4s+xenon+bulb
  11. The airbag light is meant to be on. It shows whether you have the adult or child (baby seat) option selected. There is a button under the dash which you switch to select. Safety issue, if your baby seat faces backwards and the airbag goes off, you literally push the baby/child into the back of the front seat, with the child option selected the airbag deploys in a different way to the adult airbag.
  12. My Brother in Law works in the film industry and is very well off. House worth in excess of 1.5 million. His next door neighbour and the fellow a few doors down-------------Both body-shop - crash repair-- business owners. Methinks I'm in the wrong game.
  13. Nice result, always glad to get the mot over and done with.
  14. New LS600 with all the toys £102k. New tractor unit and trailer £105k. Not a lot cheaper, but you've won your bet.
  15. You must feel like King of the Road driving that. Bet it's not too bad driving that big lorry as well.
  16. Totally agree. James May on '' Building a car live'' was not much better. Tried tightening 2 bolts and failed miserably.
  17. I think you mean Charles Hurst, Lexus, Belfast, not Lookers. Bought my previous car from them, only seen in photographs and only talked on the telephone. Delivered to my door, no extra charge, vehicles going to and from NI all the time. Car will be registered with the DVLA, you can keep the NI registration (ageless) or they will assign you an English one (there will be a charge). No import charges, duties, etc. exactly the same as buying a car from up the road. Would definitely recommend the company. Graham.
  18. Welcome Desmond, more and more Lexus in Surrey these days. Enjoy your new (and best yet) car experience.
  19. Not sure if I'm remembering rightly but if you select the ''town'' it should give you a list of options. I think you can only input the first 4 characters
  20. Welcome to the LOC. Probably the best car club in the world. (thats just come to me, been drinking) Enjoy your Lexus Darren.
  21. Welcome to the LOC Daniel, enjoy.
  22. Welcome jack, enjoy.
  23. You would of spotted mine there during the past 5 days. Had a nice few days, never known anywhere for such good value dining. Stayed in a seafront hotel (The Wulfruna, recommended) ,opposite the 'Vue'. Sea breaking over the walls, never seen such dirty sea water, made an absolute mess of the paintwork.
  24. Thats my old car. I was the 3rd owner, 60k miles when I bought her, paid £8k, 2006. Traded her in for a 06 plate 430 and got £3800 trade in value, 2009, 84k miles. So,in 6 years, she's only added 21k miles. I looked after her really well, FLSH, and kept the car immaculate. My only problem was the fact she was a DHP model, with the 17'' wheels and the suspension being so low you had to slow down to 5mph when going over speed bumps etc. Don't know if it's the quality of the photos but the engine bay was spotless when I sold her. Fantastic looking car though.
