Phil, Rain X is not a glass cleaner. Clean your glass first with whichever cleaner you prefer, then apply Rain X as instructed. Really does make the rain bead off better when driving in heavy rain. Have used it on all my cars (travel a lot to Yorkshire, always rains in Yorkshire, that's because Yorkshire's up North) Graham.

DRLs - Increase On Time?
graham8370 replied to matt8's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
14 years of owning 7 LS's, I have only just discovered that, if you pull the full beam stalk after you've switched off, the headlights will stay on for the length of time you have set. Settings in the car which you can do without any reader. -
Didn't the link work? The item number is 303023910052

Chrissie, buy a set of these. They will fit. For £9 the 4 with free postage you can't go wrong. Attached picture is the black ones on my wheels. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_odkw=&fits=Car+Make%3ALexus&_ssn=siyumei&hash=item468da1eca4%3Ag%3A8VIAAOSwPYNcOY1I&item=303023910052&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H1.Xlexus.TRS0&_nkw=lexus&_sacat=0

My only gripe so far with it being the face lift, is they've added convenience entry/exit meaning the darn drivers seat moves in/out every time you start/stop the engine. To my knowledge (and Lexus dealer) this can't be disabled. I don't like it - but I guess it's personal preference. I'm pretty sure you can customize these settings yourself. Have a look in the ''Navigation'' Manual Settings that can be customized using the navigation system display You can customize the following settings using the navigation system display. (For further information on customizing settings using the navigation system display, refer to the Navigation System Owner's Manual.) Considering RX450h

Just to clarify the Hybrid Health Check; They will health check your system if your car is under 10 years old. If it passes the check they will give 12 months warranty on the batteries. -
Welcome Keith, that looks very nice. You have now been 'smitten' by the Lexus Marque. Enjoy your new "Baby'

Ready to dip my toes in the detailing waters
graham8370 replied to sorcerer's topic in Lexus Car Care & Detailing
You've been bitten by the detailing 'Bug'. It really is downhill from now on. All those jobs around the house will be put on hold, your wife will be complaining to family and friends that "He's out there cleaning that bl**** car again'. But; no matter. There really is no nicer feeling than walking away, looking back, and thinking 'I did that' You'll start parking under the lights in Tesco's car park. You'll drive past large shop windows trying to catch the reflection. You'll upgrade your phone for one with a better camera. No? just me then. Everything you've bought will do the job perfectly. The only thing missing is a large jar of Elbow Grease (not available to purchase). Thousands of products out there but none will work if you don't put the effort in. The next stage is thinking 'That looks brilliant' I must post some photos on the LOC. Good luck. I await the first album. Graham. -

Lexus Key Card - Gamble.. and Won
graham8370 replied to Andrew888's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Just a 'heads up' to any 2012 + later LS600 owners, the smart card key is not compatible. -
Rayaans, tell them you have no intention of paying any money. It's not your fault. If your insurance company doesn't pursue the other driver's insurance they might have to pay themselves (I'm assuming you're Fully Comp) which they won't want to do. In the past two years, my car has been hit twice whilst parked in car parks. I simply refused to pay up front. Your insurance company should be working for YOU. You're the customer, tell them what YOU want.

This is becoming more complicated than it should be. Firstly. you're not at fault in any way. You have the Drivers name and the vehicle registration. You've notified your insurance company and given them the details of the accident. It's now up to them to find the other drivers insurance and tell them of your claim. Take your car to a repairer of your choice (not theirs). The other driver's insurance company will send an assessor and hopefully approve the amount and the claim. There is no reason to pay any excess you have on your policy, you're not claiming on your policy, you're claiming on his. Your no claim bonus will not be affected but your premium will rise (seemingly if you claim on any policy you will probably claim again; so they say) Good luck, this should not cost you a penny in any way, shape or form (apart from the increased premium) Graham.
