  1. Welcome Iain, I'll guarantee you'll love it, great car. Enjoy. Don't forget we all like pics.
  2. I can believe anyone's obsession with their Lexus. Good to know 'It's not just me then' Previous pics, 460 - 430 - 600 - 600. 2 x 400's before these but I have no pics
  3. Many thanks Aido, John. Steve, I had an 09 LS600h and it was a fantastic car. Looking at the current prices, they're fetching more money now than they did 2 years ago. Whenever I change I always have a doubt that I may have done the wrong thing. This doubt usually lasts for about a month until I get used to the new one, then I realise I have done the right thing. I refuse to believe that Lexus, with all the expertise and an infinite amount of money, would do anything other than improve upon the previous model. If I recall, I was probably the other bidder for that salesman's sample case.
  4. Hi Steve, I have my settings to read all the latest posts when I log in.( A stream created by Steve, Admin.). Rear screens fixed, can't be moved ( I said in an earlier post that you should never say can't, won't, doesn't, as with most things Lexus, it can, it will and it does ( it's us not knowing how) It is the Premier so does have the rear seat ottoman.
  5. Page 20. Select button E On mine, voice command ''Show Map'' Not sure on yours.
  6. file:///Users/grahamrush/Downloads/OM33D08E.pdf Not sure if that link will work but it is in the downloaded Navigation Manual page 29
  7. Steve, I had the same on my 1 year old LS, not sure if the ES is the same but try this. When in route guidance select the 3 dots to the bottom left corner of the screen. This takes me to a screen which says at the top left corner ''Pause''. Don't select ''Pause'' instead scroll down to ''Route"". Select ''Route'' and the word ''Delete'' appears in the top right corner, Select ''Delete'' and the guidance is cancelled. When I had my 09 plate LS600 all I had to do was go into voice activation and say ''Cancel Guidance'' I don't why they took this option from the Voice activation commands.
  8. Very nice Steve, I have a sneaky suspicion that you would have spent 35 hours anyway. Enjoy.
  9. Welcome David, Sonic paint will look brilliant with a bit of sun on her back.
  10. Thanks Aido, pre-op next week with by-pass probably the week after.
  11. Graphite Black, adjustable height when entering the car, Lexus realised that old boys like me would struggle with entry/exit so the car raises when you open the door and lowers when you drive. As with most things in the car you can disable this feature, I think (so many things to discover) It is lower than my previous LS's though.
  12. Thanks Nick, health-wise everything going to plan. 1998 Mark 4's still a great car. Had a silver one with black interior, fond memories.
  13. Nice comments guys, thank you. Can't take any credit though, it's all down to Lexus.
  14. Don't worry Herbs, this is my 7th LS over the last 16 years. Usually about 10k miles per year and still get a buzz every time I drive.
  15. Thankfully driving again after 4 weeks. New to me, a 2018 LS500h. Wash & Brush up so a few pics(probably too many)
  16. Welcome Shah, looks to be a good price, fantastic car. I would hazard a guess that if you sold it after 12 months you'd be looking at £39k.
  17. Welcome Sumeet, a lovely car. I had one for 4 years, one of the best cars I have owned, enjoy.
  18. Welcome Sharon, nice to know that dreams come true. Enjoy your new 'Baby"
  19. Many thanks all, for the good wishes. Have put the son as a named driver (only £34 for the year, LV.) so I have been for a ride. Really happy.
  20. Over the moon and under the weather. Treated myself to a 1 year old LS500h with 4k miles Thursday 25th July and had a heart attack on Sunday 28th (I don't think the two events were related). Lexus delivered the car and it's sitting on the drive as I can't drive for a month. 3 stents in my right side and now waiting for a By-Pass early Sept (another 4 weeks without driving) The Surgeon insists no driving, the wife insists no cleaning, so I'll post some pics very shortly. 3 to be going on with at the dealers Shout out to Lexus Gatwick, they were superb throughout the palava.
  21. Why are you inflating to 44psi? recommended is 33.
  22. Hi Rebecca, first of all, welcome to the LOC. You're quite right, no one but fellow Lexus owners will understand the excitement. Congratulations on your purchase, Many happy miles/years of ownership to come. Graham.
  23. Just a translation 'quirk' We call it Premier, other countries call it President. Same model and spec.
  24. Hi Nick, go for it, you won't regret it. Have gone through the range of LS's over the past 17 years; 95 mark 3 400; Owned for 3 years, bought with 150k miles, replaced front suspension (£700 ish) 99 mark 4 400 DHP; Owned for 4 years, 65k miles to 100k, can't remember any major issues. 2006 430; Bought at 2 years old with 130k, no major problems, sold only because I fell in love with the 460. 2007 460 SE-L; 60k, kept for 4 years, sold at 102k, no problems at all. 2009 600HL RSR; Bought at 3 years old 70k miles. Sold after 5 years of ownership, 115k on the clock and running perfectly. and presently a 2013 600 HL. I think after every change, I've wondered if I've done the right thing. Each one is different and after a few weeks of getting used to it you realise you have. I'm pretty sure that each model I've had, the costs have been about the same to keep on the road. MPG is about 25, Insurance is roughly the same, VED is cheaper, being a hybrid. Some nice examples for sale at the moment, to suit all budgets. Good Luck, Graham.
  25. Had 2 LS600hl over the past 5 years. Don't expect anything over 25 mpg.
