Speaking of Larry, here’s an extract from an article today marking Larry’s tenure at No.10….. Larry, whose full honorary title is Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office, is held in higher regard than either Sir Keir or his predecessor Mr Sunak, an Ipsos poll found last week. The survey showed 44 per cent of people have a favourable opinion of Larry, while just four per cent take an unfavourable view. This makes him significantly more popular than the new Prime Minister, who is seen favourably by 34 per cent and unfavourably by 41 per cent.4 points

Don't forget that in both GO tariffs the KWH rate outside the cheap hours is increased over the SVT rate by a %. So worth moving other (washing machine , dishwasher) kWh to the cheap hours if you can manage it. Otherwise it might be cheaper on the SVT unless you use up all EV miles most days. Hope that makes sense.3 points

What year model did you buy? Agree that run flats are noisy, but also harden the ride significantly. Change them to see if this solves your problem.3 points

Rant time: Any time I called AF for my IS250 I don't think the quotes been below £1,500-£2,000 whilst every other insurer went for the £500-£600 mark... I don't see the point of advertising your services if you surely know your figures will be way way above market averages...3 points

On your mirror position adjustment control if you set the selector to 0 I.e. the middle position between L and R it should disable the reverse tilt function.2 points

As an 81 year old driver with a good record, I've just been quoted £795 by Admiral for my RX450h+ next year's insurance, which is £6 less than last year, so am reasonably happy.2 points

I'm repeating what everyone here knows: - these are very special cars (I have a 2007 model) and the mileage is less important than the service history. - these cars may be cheap to buy but they are very expensive to maintain (just a few examples: hybrid battery £2000, air shocks £1001 per corner, injectors £200 per unit. These prices are from Lexus dealer and do not include taxes or labour and they are in UK pounds). Now that I have one I would not want to part with it. I cannot really advise you but I certainly would not pay $40000 for a 2013 car, especially one that has been sitting for years... If you buy it you will not be disappointed (it is a fine car - the more you drive it, the more you appreciate it) but what it will cost to keep it going is an open question...2 points

The picture of the rear offside, is that an optical illusion on the bumper or a pigeon with a chronic bowel problem? 😀2 points

Get rid of the run-flats and buy some ordinary tyres. I felt exactly as you when I got mine but much better now.2 points

At the risk of repetition of an earlier post😅 "Bear in mind over 65s aren't just a single entity, they have family and friends with the message if they can do this to us in such a cold-hearted way what can do to you? Even if just 50% of pensioners can influence just 3 people? Let your MP do the mathematics."2 points

I test drove a BZ4X before I decided on an NX and that had the 360 cameras which worked very well. Unfortunately to get the 360 Cameras on the NX meant I had to get Premium Plus which also gives 20 inch wheels which is something I definitely did not want, so stuck with the Premium. As others have said, you do get a very wide view on the rear camera, which you can make it even wider if you press the button on the screen, but I find its too wide for my liking.2 points

I had the panoramic view on my RAV4 and I really liked it; I was able to check the position of the car in a parking bay, use the front camera to assess more accurately, the distance to any obstruction etc.. Unfortunately, on the NX it did not come as an optional extra, it required the full upgrade to Premium Plus, which was outside my budget. However, the view from the rear camera on the NX is superior to what the RAV had and the tilt down wing mirrors help with positioning the car when reverse parking.2 points

Hi to all members here , just joined the group . I have just picked up my first Lexus NX450h+ and so far very pleased with the car. I have always had BMW and traded my BMW G30 and got this one. Fitted wall charger yesterday as well rather than using 3 pin plug , will see how long it takes to charge .1 point

Hi Sayan I use D&D autos in Ashford. They're not a specialist but have always worked on my cars over the years and had no problems. They've worked on my previous IS200 ,Gs430 sport ,LS430 and my latest barge a Lexus LS460.1 point

I discovered something new and useful from this post as it prompted me to check before posting a reply. Mine has the reverse tilt mirror option which works fine but I never knew you could actually adjust the position.1 point

I don't charge the car every day but overall the Octopus Go tariff has worked out significantly cheaper than the SVT. Usual monthly overall cost is c16.8p /kWh and that's without moving other power consumption devices to take advantage of the off peak rate.1 point

Well Frazer it looks like Lexus have stamped down on my supplier ,I bought the whole timing belt + tensioner and waterpump replacement from them 4 years ago at a total cost of £175 including shipping Burj Auto DWC -LLC in Dubai they still supply Toyota parts but the Lexus name as been removed from the manfacturers list if you put in a lexus part number it will state it is out of stock in their parts reference box. They were too good to be true I suppose thinking about it I should have bought a boat load off spares at the time but again we think conservativly when we have to buy something not speculatevly.1 point

My understanding was that regular discharging of the traction battery to less than 20/30% would shorten its life. I still get 50 miles range in EV, which is more than that quoted so I'm happy!1 point

Octopus Go is available to anyone with a smart meter (which Octopus can install if required). To go on their EV tariff (Intelligent Octopus Go) you need either a supported charger or supported vehicle (not Lexus) so they can control charging times - it doesn’t need to be installed by them but they can offer that service.1 point

Not sure what to suggest. You are most likely looking at a replacement screen. One troubleshooter said they got results from unhitching the battery lead for 20 minutes – makes no sense to me and is a pain as car has to relearn driving parameters. Go to fleabay and look for 400s being broken up1 point
-
The only other thing I can suggest is follow the tow bar wiring loom back from the external socket to where it enters the car then remove the trim on that side and take a look for a fuse.1 point
