  2. Do your door, boot and bonnet jams with waterless polish. Spray it on and brush it in and wipe off and all the muck comes with it and leaves a polished surface so water runs away easily. Engine bay. If its mainly dry dust etc. use a paint brush (1", 2") and a flexible hose on the vacuum to lift every thing off and then brush on / wipe on "Armorall" satin black and it comes up lovely without looking at all 'blingy'. Black shoe polish on the tyres.

  3. Saturday Changed front disc and pads and cleaned up wit a wire bush and copper greased everything. With the calliper on the left side (Seized side noted on MOT), one of the rubber springgy bit's doesn't really pop back effectively, so I'm pretty sure I need a new one of those, as it isn't being pushed back out picked up today 2 second hand rear springs found on ebay, but only managed to replace the drivers rear strut, disc and pads cut my hand, curse a lot and get wet... Will try and do the passenger side eventually so it can be retested for Saturday Need a bloody garage!!!

  4. I’ve sat in a similar model and had the same problem. Had a try in a (top spec) UX and that was fine (but the car was too small). RX was ok, but far too expensive. I literally don’t know what the solution is. I remain a bit peeved that the manual suggests all powered seats have lumbar adjustment and stil can’t believe a ‘luxury’ £40000 car doesn’t have it as standard. I’ve never experienced such a poor seat in over 40 years of driving. My brand new car stays sat on the drive most of the time as I only drive it when absolutely necessary. (I’ve averaged 38mpg on mine since I got it. I doubt I’ll be able to get it any higher than that)

  5. I have a 2007 460...…..it has Bluetooth but I don't know about playing music direct from your phone - I've never tried. The maps are easy to update and not expensive. I don't have the rear entertainment package...…….no kids, so don't need it 🙂

  7. That is so sad, but I know exactly where you're at. I wanted an NX but the ride and seats after only 10 miles made me choose the RX.

  8. Having just bought a brand new NX with premier pack, I was surprised (and crippled) to find into didn’t have lumbar support. Only the F-sport and premier have it as standard. My car has 500 miles on it and I’m having to get rid of it. The seat has gives me chronic back ache. I can feel one of the metal supports digging in my back. The manual shows ‘powered seats’ as having lumbar support and I just assumed it had it. It’s going to be an expensive mistake

  9. The cars I was looking at prior to purchase did not have this kit so I researched buying it off eBay and getting it fitted. Difficulty wise I’d put the job as medium, the real issues just being time required and the bits of the car requiring dismantling. The cables are mostly plug and play, with little splicing, and the instructions are clear and comprehensive. The biggest job is using the supplied templates to hole cut the bumpers. If you want to know more pm me an email address and I’ll send you a pdf copy of the manual so you can see the nature of the job. Of course if you buy the kit then you could always get it installed professionally. If you decide to buy off eBay make sure you get the full kit including all 8 sensors. Have seen some that are sans sensors, which on their own are circa £70 each to buy. Buyer beware hth Michael

  11. It's certainly something I'll contemplate if/when sections need attention. I've had three full stainless steel systems on various older Japanese cars where it's been more cost-effective to do that than find replacement mild steel stuff (if they've even been available).

  12. Well i finaly decided and went down to see the Gs and to be honest was very pleased with it the only dark area that i found was the discs they were a bit rusty and one of the rears had a slight groove in it so we had a detailed discussion on this and we ended up looking at the specs of the discs and they were in the tolerances so i had a good run round in it and tried the brakes harshly and gently and they performed flawlessly so decided to have the car. Yes Adam you were quite right they was ok to deal with very courteous and said slightest problem let us know and we wouldnt expect you to come the 200ml we will arrange with your local lexus to appraise fault and liase with us One thing i noticed on my old SE L i had music options galore 6 Disc player HDD USB BT but this one as 1 disc USB and BT but the other one was overkill i suppose i didnt let that put me off The Mouse thingy was a bit awkward but just after 3 days ive got used to it The journey home was faultless and it was bucketing down with rain and as the tyres were Dunlop Maxx i was a little apprehensive but they were perfect but they are new One minor problem i found was that the Pass mirror did not drop on reverse but a quick phone call got the answer my local lexus told me to put it in reverse then drop mirror with control then back to park and then try again and voilla it worked I will get a few pics when i get myself sorted I would like to Thank you all for the excellent advice given its much appreciated Shahpor Nick Chris Mike Many thanks Robert

  13. Not found one on mine but when the low fuel light comes on there is more than 30 miles left in there. It says it's a 65 litre tank and on my last fill-up the needle was over the R and the light had been on a while and I only got 56 L in the tank.
