There is a hole in the rear disc for access to the adjuster, there is a special tool as usual but a flat blade screwdriver will do the job.

I know them all very well at Sidcup, I have brought my last 4 cars from them, Alfie is a new salesman at Sidcup but i am sure your get on with him fine, if your not sure about anything have a chat with Bradly, and Kevin in the service department. If need be can pop down there for you and get any information your need, have a look round it and take photos.

Back in here again. Sold my XE and bought a brand new IS300h Sport in Silver. Lovely car, well pleased. My mileage pattern has completely changed as I now only commute 15 miles each way to work via a mix of country roads and congested town centre. Perfect car for me. My 6th Lexus - had a 2006 IS250, a 2014 IS300h Executive, a 2014 IS250, a 2015 IS200T, a 2014 NX300h and now a 2019 IS300h. The new car drives very nicely and is definitely quicker than my previous IS300h, feels like the car actually has some torque this time around. Looking forward to joining in again.

Had 2 LS600hl over the past 5 years. Don't expect anything over 25 mpg.

All sorted, rear shocks replaced and no more knocking noise. Handling improved as well. Highly recommend to check shocks. Thanks Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

In this case, Trionic 7 effectively reduces the torque request when it senses knock. It'll run fine on normal fuel if you need to though - no need to panic if you get caught short!

My '05 Saab 9-5 Aero is the first car I've ever owned that specifies the use of 98RON in the handbook. It even warns against the use of anything else. I can continue my V-Power affectation with a clear conscience. Goes like the clappers too.

I've got no idea which system mine has, it just says "Celsior super live sound system" Yesterday I turned the volume to max (playing ELO) and there was no distortion but my ears hurt like in a rock concert so I'm not sure how ML would trump that.

Apparently the MOT equivalent is more stringent, and yes, soft close doors. The pre-facelift is prone to delamination but I've also seen it on later ones. I'm told the Japanese don't salt their roads so less rust. I've posted this before but this is the underneath of mine after 16 years.

Never had to do the job but I do believe that if the brakes need bleeding then you need to use Techstream for it.

Disks and pads are a piece of cake, just remember to slacken off the parking brake to get the rear disk off. Not done wheel bearing but it looks like they are a complete unit bolted on so not too much trouble. The regen braking is not an issue.

Im planning to come along if I can keep up with the changing arrangements. I chanced upon the Touchdown Café a couple of summers ago when I stayed at the camp site across the road. There is a tiny wartime museum on site but not sure when thats open. Up the road the Vulcan bomber is on display and at weekends volunteers are around doing stuff and they are more than pleased to give you a guided tour for a small donation. My lad loved it. Its an awesome machine. We got a full cockpit tour. Result.

The short version: the salesman is talking nonsense. Slightly longer: higher octane fuel will provide a performance benefit (beyond any claims WRT 'cleaning' etc.) only if the engine is mapped to take advantage of the increased resistance to knock that such fuel offers. This could be through more aggresive ignition timing (which would be retarded if knock was detected e.g. through the use of lower octane fuel), or (in a forced-induction engine) through boost levels. Without any details on how the engine management system on your car works I can't comment on whether it has any capacity to take advantage of higher octance fuel. The concept of it having a negative effect and 'burning out the valves' is nonsense, though.

Well car collected this afternoon. Very pleased with the look of the wheels. They have advised me not to pressure wash them for a couple of days. Whilst the car was there it was MOT'd and they took a look at the reversing camera which I thought was often slow to switch in. The result is that they couldn't find any issue but from previous experience suspect a media hard drive problem. Lexus Warranty have authorised the replacement of the media hard drive unit which I understand costs a wallet busting £1800. For convenience this will be changed at next service as the unit has to be shipped form Japan. Well done Lexus Cheltenham .

The estimator did specifically ask me whether it would be an insurance job or if I'd be paying privately and I said that it entirely depended on how much it would cost - if I could afford to pay privately I would, but if it was too much then it would have to go through insurance. He also said that that would also be the price to me if I went directly to them (which, as I said earlier, I was going to do anyway) rather than going through Lexus.

Well that's a pain of true. I've already noticed the camera misses quite a few signs and is often slow to react.

Just done this job on my RX300 2005 bought the parts from rock auto who are uk vat registered so no duty to pay all I had to do was cross reference part numbers and ended up ordering for a RX330 cost about £85 for the pair the single cable from the front was ok. Delivery was about a week. h.t.h.

i'm thinking the AA might of screwed up and maybe the booster cables where put on the wrong way which could of blown a main fuses. i know lexus cars come with AA breakdown & recovery but are they actually trained to work on a hybrid

I reckon these 'techs' are a bunch of monkeys, it appears whenever an owner has a problem the solution it to throw parts at the car, thats not a tech in my book thats a fitter.
