  1. Hi, after considering pretty much every car on the market I've decided that the isf is the one. I want a quiet automatic for the daily grind but some proper performance for the weekend. Any of the latest hot hatches would probably be perfect for me but they leave me a bit cold. Same goes for the usual German suspects. The best thing about my subaru legacy is the howling flat 6 so I know I want a another naturally aspirated engine but I'm looking for a bit more power now. I'm aiming for a MY2010 but there aren't many about. Plus official lexus prices are crazy. Wish me luck and i'll keep you posted.

  2. Black wheels are the worst IMO. Show up brake dust pretty bad because they end up looking brown

  3. Black on Black on Black?! Wow gutsy! Whilst black interior is fine and fairly low maintenance, the wheels and the bodywork is going to make you crazy

  5. Hello, I had the very same problem with my Mk 3 1995....I tried each and every way to stop it, but to no avail.... I eventually got the AA to take my car on a low loader to the nearest Lexus Dealer, who stopped the alarm sounding, and charged me £100............. Expensive I guess, but at least it stopped me going mad... Hope this helps..... Cheers Roy.

  6. I recently had a '16 plate Merc C220D for 3 weeks as a courtesy car, following someone driving into the back of my IS on the M56. I can comfortably say that if that is an indicator of Mercedes build quality, I will never EVER go near one to own. It only had 7000 miles on it and squeaked, creaked and rattled and had a very crashy ride - this was on 17"s with plenty of sidewall - which looked tiny on the car as it's ridiculously large for a 'small' saloon. Not only that but the diesel engine was dreadfully noisy with no refinement whatsoever. And don't even get me started on the naff shiny plastics on the dashboard, or the enormous intrusive info-tainment screen that is just seemingly stuck on the top of the dash, that has no touch control features. Coming back to a replacement IS, it's so much better screwed together, and a far more pleasant place to be.

  8. I have the same issue with a 2011 Premier. I have just spoken to LEXUS in Leicester and the guy seemed quite shocked it didn't work it. He's going to ring me back and let me know.

  9. Well, today i received a Pure 2500 pocket dab radio, connected it to the aux output and received crystal clear DAB reception between Glasgow and Gourock. Radio costs £53 at Amazon, £3 for an aux cable. I'm delighted with the result. Gives you an option anyway. Ed in Glasgow
