  2. John, I don't think the LS430 wood/leather steering wheel will fit an LS400. I believe the connections are different. About a year ago I replaced the regular all-leather steering wheel on my mk4 for a wood/leather one taken off a recently scrapped mk4. It was in nice condition too and only cost me around £50 plus p+p. A real bargain I thought. Swapping it over is relatively easy, so long as care is taken with the airbag i.e. disconnect the battery for at least 10 mins for the capacitors to de activate. You don't need a puller either, just a good hard yank will do once the central nut is undone.

  3. Remember to leave the nut on a couple of threads when loosening it, or you'll end up with a sore face..

  4. My answer to your original question would be - Yes, if the price is right (as with all things). The reason being that you want to make sure you get a good deal as you have to realise that come selling time, not many people will be looking at cars with higher than 100k on the clock and will be more hassle to sell. You will also get some stupid offers if the car has high mileage. This does happen anyway but itll happen more so with cars exceeding 100k - people will be wanting it for nothing. Parking sensors are easy to fit so dont worry if it doesnt have them.

  7. Dear all Thanks for your warm welcome messages and apologies for the late reply. Had my first proper drive in the car yesterday, a round trip of 80 odd miles. Surprising that filling the tank only cost me about £40, small tank I take it? Averaged about 59mpg but I know these figures are not always accurate. I suppose just willing myself to believe the car can achieve this after spending the money! Which average mpg figure is the more accurate one by the way? Is it the one with the white bar with the figure next to it or the single display average as both figures were different. I guess the one with the white bar is dependant on how much pedal is being used similar to the old BMW's but the figure didn't alter much? Geoff, liking the colour indeed however will think about covering the seats as can imagine them getting dirty quickly. Hate car seat covers but want to keep them as clean as possible. I didn't get a spare wheel with mine. Mike, thank you and will do my best to behave! Have been a member in various forums including Porsche, Saab, Mercedes and Ford but not as active on them as I used to be. I will take your advice Paul and look at deflating the tyres a little, thanks for that. Lovely car by the way. Look forward to chatting more and getting to know the car more too. Have a great day. 9. The led light is not a standard feature of this car, so it has benn added, my suggestion is to find where the wire goes and discover the attached circuit.

  10. To be honest the answer is yes I would. If it's Lexus full history definitely. My CT SE L Premier had 62K when I bought it and its immaculate inside and out with Lexus FSH. A friend of mine has also the same model and is also a 2011 model and he got his with 91K and Lexus FSH.His CT had been faultless like mine with only servicing done to it. These cars are extremely reliable just like the Prius. On the US CT forums owners have mileages of 200K + with no problems at all,and even on the original battery packs(traction). That certainly tells you something about these cars. If all looks OK to you then buy one. They're a great car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Thank Martin I will look into it. I think for my money the ls400 is better I am kinda regreting the 430 a little bit (don't let my wife know she thinks I love working on cars) as lots of the mod cons are a pain in the bum for breaking. Mine thank god has coilovers no way you could get me on air shocks with all I have heard. This of course is just my humble opinion and with that in mind not worth a damn thing :). Always wanted to put this thing onto gas... Once I (IF) get it working well I will.
