  2. This was the post from Rafi for those interested in their supercharger kit: We have some more video footage from later in the day yesterday.... at 6pm they opened up the entire oval, so we were able to get about 8 full laps in at top speed, hit nearly 170mph on the straights! At one point I had a few Z06 race cars behind me. They were much faster in the turns because they were running slicks (and also I was afraid of hitting the wall at 140mph+ So I am exiting the turn and give them the point-by all while mashing my foot on the gas... and the ISF just pulled away on the straight. Still running only 3.2psi peak boost Anyway, so this was the first track test of our new SC. Track testing is critical to test the reliability of the SC drive system, and it was flawless all day. We will post more details soon, and of course dyno results as we continue fine tuning the car. We are getting a lot of questions about pricing. The kit will not be cheap. Rotrex c38 based supercharger kits for the e92 M3 run anywhere from $8000-$14000. Our kit will be around $8k, and we will try to keep it below that if possible. Rafi

  3. I bought my 5l tub for £28! Different scents too. The leather oak is so woody lol http://car-chem.com/store/car-care-exterior/car-wash-shampoos/luxury-car-shampoo-concentrate-5ltr

  4. Lol, a small Asian man who was a complete spanner! They moved it on the later models to the steering wheel buttons. I'd move it if I could, but the work involved is more involving than you can imagine!

  5. I wouldnt get too hung up on shampoos - the best one ive come across in terms of performance to price ratio is Carchem 1900:1 Luxury shampoo. Again, with waxes, people can get carried away and spend a lot of money - most of the time the price is a red herring - plenty of cheap-ish waxes out there which can outperform a £100 wax - things like Harly Wax which I finally tried the other day is unreal for its price point in terms of look - throttling a lot of expensive show waxes. Then you have durability waxes like FK1000p and Fusso which are very well priced.

  6. Many thanks zippyone - the first picture was of a massive and I mean massive engineering project in the Maas near Hoek van Holland. I think it is probably a North Sea oil rig being commissioned or scrapped...not sure which lol. The second image was sent to Lexus UK who send it out to their Instagram followers. I think it was taken on my iPhone and tweaked using the excellent free app Snapseed. I took another image (attached) in the same location a day or two later this time using a proper Olympus camera and its dramatic effect from the art filter menu. This can take stunning photos at dusk. the holiday was blighted with bitterly cold northerlies which put the kybosh on my intended fishing and wasn't great for cycling either.....lol I took more photos but I'll quit while I'm ahead I think... glad you enjoyed what I posted anyway :)

  7. Hi Andy, the pictures were wonderful, I do pics. so noticed straight away that they were doctored, but was impressed. The first I called, 'Black Dyke,' as I have a liking for brass band music and that sky, with what looked like a dredging machine, brought it to mind. The second picture is worthy of any advertising campaign, far better than the normal rubbish that Lexus use. Did you send it to them? How did the trip go, where did you end up, any more pics? Best wishes. Michael.

  9. Sounds good Dave. Look forward to reading how you get on. Remember there should be a bedding in period for the ECU to re-learn any changes you make. You ideally need to allow around 1K miles between each change before re-dynoing. If not, the results may not be what you are expecting. I'd also suggest re-setting the ECU (disconnect the battery) after each change to speed up the learning process. Remember your seat, window, steering wheel settings will be wiped, and need restoring after each disconnect. Best of luck!

  11. Update to the project, Now have all parts I need for the intake system will upload a picture at some point over the weekend all being well so you can see what I'm up to. Most improtantly I have my baseline dyno finally booked in ats RGS motorsport for the morning of the 8th June, they run a dyno dynamics system so should be about as consistant as I can get. After this I'll mock up the intake and run it for a little while then return for a second dyno session. Lets see how we go...

  12. Just need to get used to the sensitive accelerator pedal, only have to touch it at junctions and the beast wants to surge forward. Ordered the private reg V1 SFV for it yesterday too and have had some custom plates made up.

  14. Still very much happy with the Sport Nav - easily getting high 30s mpg which Is impressive I think. This dropped on the motorway route to here in Holland and range isn't quite what I'd hoped....otherwise very satisfied.
