  2. Finally got round to uploading a pic from the breakfast meet - I'm organising a rolling road day in Leeds in June if anyone fancies having a run with their ISF. I want to see what mine is running like before I have the exhaust fitted in mid June. Should be a good mix of cars and like minded petrolheads. It's on Saturday 4th June at RS Tuning in Leeds and the price is £35 per car.

  4. From what I have seen and heard, we are of like mind when it comes to modifications. One of the things that I hate about the Retro Rides forum is that they seem to prefer lowering their cars by stupid amounts. Seen a few LS400's ruined over there as well as other cars. Anyway, looking forward to seeing how yours goes, so good luck

  6. No chance! Seats and gauges are fitted for a purpose. Hoping with the X pipe installed, I can start doing some trackdays. You'd be surprised how much lighter the new seats are. At least half the weight I reckon. Just need to get the magazine feature out the way. Then I'll be putting all this hard work to good use.

  8. Had another go at my mirror today. As it happens a quick squirt of WD-40 on the non-functional motor appears to have brought it back to life :) I was kicking myself when I realised I hadn't done that originally. However, while I was waiting to find time to have another go at repairing the mirror, I did manage to find what I thought was a suitable replacement motor. This appears to be a drop in replacement Mabuchi Motor FC-140RE I can confirm that it does drop into the recess and that the power pins are the right spacing to fit. As I opted to retain the original motor, I only got as far as testing it to confirm that it fitted and that it spins when switched on but it would seem to be an acceptable replacement in the event of a motor failure. They are available from Amazon UK at £3.25 and on ebay from various sellers in the far east - eg Link

  9. I have tried getting rid of weight in the car but she insists on coming with me. She doesn't read this forum or I wouldn't have dared post

  10. Hi, If anyone needs any help with insurance that offers the option of a fixed agreed value then please feel free to drop me a line. We can offer agreed values for pretty much any car as long as it's over 12 months old. Regards, Dan.
