  1. Set the record straight there.... Good luck with the sale, it does look fantastic. I could suggest drilling some holes in the boot for the dog but I'm not sure the RSPCA would be too happy :-) What have you in mind for the next car?

  4. I am not knocking you mate, we have all been there and got the t shirt. This is my first lexus and i love it to bits, its not been without issue, hand brake not holding brake isue which most modern cars have. Rear caliper issues had that on the octavia. I reserched the faults before buying. Parts when needed will be expensive, so hoping i dont need many. Im lucky i am pretty hands on, my next job will probrably be spark plugs. Done all the brakes including handbrake. I apreciate your honesty and hope you love the jag. Stay on the forum mate, most cars are similar really just a different badge.

  5. Real shame but jags have their own bad points. There is no need to walk away from the forum, people dont only own lexus cars on here do they. I am on many forums, because the more people you querie over faults the better chance of an answer.

  6. The is250 is a petrol, and can be revved high into the band range, through every gear so you are much much more involved in the driving experience. Its definitely not a out and out sports car but is more than able to keep up with most cars on the road. Its been done to the death on this site and many others about 220d and its reliability.

  7. Welcome to the club Andrew. Don't rush your search, take your time. Another valued member on here, 'Normski' will tell you that it's well worth the wait to find the right car. There are some really nice ones out there, it's just a case of being patient. Welcome to the club.

  8. But that'll be offset by the rock high prices of them. I predict you can use one for a year and sell it for hardly any loss

  9. That is how mine is set up on the Meister R's. I have had the rear lip cut from the arches so it all fits nicely, n rubbing and can still get over sped humps with no problems. I love the ride and the confidence it gives me. Something else you might want to consider is fitting the limited slip diff from the sport, that helps a lot.

  10. interesting point that....does petrol degrade? I use shell v power every time, my engine going like a train so i see no reason to stop using it.

  12. If you ever have to disconnect the small 12v battery located under the velour cover in the nearside of the boot, you will find the drivers' side window switches for the rear & passenger doors will no longer work & the scurity system is affected. To rectify this after reconnecting 12v battery, go to each individual door switch on each individual door & fully lower & fully raise each window from their own door control, when you shut each door afterwards you will here 3 acknowledgement beeps. That's it - all controls will now work fine & security system is back to its original state. :)
