  1. Wow Ganzoom, what a great rant, i realize that reading can be difficult for some of us but it seems you are replying to a different post altogether?

  2. Just got a full set of discs and pads for my 350Z (also Brembo) and it cost £280ish. From EuroCarParts. Looked out of interest for the IS-F, and you can get a full set for £349. That's for proper OEM Brembos. There are various 10% discount codes floating around which would make that £315ish... Why are people spending so much? I appreciate that's not fitted price, but it's something most could do themselves. An independent would charge around £100(??) maybe to fit. Have I just landed on a good deal here? Surely someone would have spotted this before. If anyone knows the part numbers, check it out and make sure they're correct.

  3. But... but... but... it's got a working washer level indicator! How rare is that? (Or perhaps the bulb's gone)

  4. Looks like a good one on the face of it, But I would be a bit concerned if it's been parked on grass for a long period as the under side would need good inspection. It;s the same as caravans when parked on grass they tend to rust more than if parked on tarmac. The ground gets wet and then evaporation sends the moisture upwards, the dampness can't escape very easily so starts the rusting process. Just my take on it Jim

  6. That rear end looks, as they like to say 'beyond economic repair'. Sad for you sir. It puts the tiny water leak in my boot in to perspective.

  7. I am not saying this because my fellow mod was involved in the new look and also likes it. I think it looks refreshed and not that much different in operation over the old format. Its always the same when we have a change as humans most of us don't like it. Give it time and you will get to love it. Mike.

  8. His is a premier so it may be that only the premier has the auto option in that case On my IS250 I can press the folding button and press it again once the car is off. That way they open automatically when I turn the car back on.

  9. I don't care for the new layout either, but this is a common theme at the moment on message boards. I've cut back a lot on my internet/message board use and only use three on a regular basis, this one and two Welsh rugby boards. They have recently changed to a later version of the board software, and both have lost a lot of traffic, one to the point of having whole days without a post. There are other factors too, but the software update has definitely had an effect. Unfortunately, all involved seem to agree that the updates are essential, and little can be done to avoid the unpopular changes. Hopefully, everybody will become accustomed to the changes.

  10. Appreciate the need to advance and change is generally met with criticism but I do think the old site was visually a lot easier to read. Found the 'latest posts' but it is hidden away isn't it. ill not drop away but just don't like it. stu

  11. Hi Guys Firstly Thanks for your feedback. The reason for the change is that we have to ensure our board software is of the latest version in order to keep with the times and progress through the years, ensure the security of the forums and data. Imagine keeping your phone updated, well same for the boards as well. As for layout. The layout is as Vanilla as it can get, and in my 14 years of running this forum I see not much difference to the old apart from some colour changes. The flow is exactly the same as before. The main issue is the red "latest posts" button, and I knew it would. However, Viewing latest posts is still there (just not with a red button ) The Club Activity link in the menu will give you all the latest activity of the club which includes, forums, gallery, status updates of members. It encompasses everything about the community. You can even customise your activity stream to your own liking. Keeping the boards vanilla is the best option we can give members. Turning back is not an option unfortunately. This is beyond our control (WE DID NOT DESIGN THE TEMPLATE) To get the latest post updates just click the "unread content" link top right of forums or the Club Activity Unfortunately I cannot get in to a debate about this, I will however try and see if I can improve the latest posts function like before. cheers

  12. The Aisin transmissions used in Lexus cars are very well protected against possible damage, there is a temperature sensor unit for the transmission oil which via the ECU limits the full scope of the gearbox until the fluid is up to its normal working temperature. During this time the hydraulic pressure is held at a reduced level protecting the seals, probably the cause of your concerns and the transmission will not go into top gear. Nothing to worry about just Japanese self preservation :) If you fancy a bit of light reading (114 pages) feel free.

  14. Speaking of wind noise, the LS 430 automatically lowers its suspension at speed thereby making it quieter and more fuel efficient.

  15. At least you can turn the auto lights off if you want. On the new Jazz you can't turn the auto lights off so they stay off next time you start the car. Now if they invented a car where the driver was in complete control over the lights and wipers that would be great! We are just getting lazy and expect technology to be as clever as a human. A long way to go before that happens.
