  1. It amazes me they don't know more, they only have a very small range - they should be able to tell you everything about them, they tend to run them as their own cars and surely they have enough interest in the brand to read about them.

  2. Just found out that if you stand next to the car in the dark with the keys in your pocket the internal lights come on. It's as if it anticipates your every need. Okay this may seem basic but it's the first time I have been to it in the dark.

  5. So why are there different octanes sold if it doesnt make a difference then? Is it really just a monumental con as suggested? Should it be investigated? For me i have always used v power and always will because i do know my car very well and it definitley runs better when i do. I am really not concerned about mpg as it is a drop in the ocean compared to depreciation, so people who buy a new car based on the mpg really don't look at the bigger picture and I always find it amusing when it is discussed! once you drive your new car off the forecourt you might just as well throw wads of cash out of the window as the value drops, so an extra couple of £ when you fill up is hardly relevant.

  7. Yes, not sure if there is such a product, but 95 is quite low, I know the car will run on it, but if u can increase it it may eliminate the issue, u may well find that the advise would be to add every 4 or 6 full up, IF there is a product, it will definitely be the cheapest place to start Paul

  9. Thank you Guys, At last a logical response, which I completely understand. Why Lexus Croydon couldn't have told me this before bringing the car back under warranty is beyond me! I was in Eco mode, and now in Normal, and the heating now seems fine. Peter

  10. Hi rincewind, me too, ok, I ran my X plate is200 in for it MOT to find it failed on both bottom ball joints. ok i thought, local maotor factors might have them - they did at £88 plus just before christmas I never needed this so good old ebay was sought and found replacement parts somewhere in the midlands for £35....but deperation required a £5 / 24hour courier to my door in coastal north essex in under the 24hours-good job too. that was the easy part. took 3 hours yesterday to undo the taper for the track rod end as i did`nt want to damage a servicable componant. the bottom ball joint itself came done quite easy IF you know what your doing, which I do as I`ve worked on cars, mine and others for 50 long years..lol the ball joints on my 71000 miler have never been apart fron new build, so, if my non original last only half that time, i will be happy or (deceased)....lol trust me, changing these ball joints IS a real pain in the rear end, and to be honest, the MOT garage offered to do it for between £35 and £50 quid, I think I should have let them do it, BUT, I`m 68 years old, stuborn, and dont like being defeated. so, one side done, and I`m sitting here when I should be out there under my lexus doing the other side now. its all your choice my friend eh. HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL HAPPY LEXUS OWNERS - Ian....
