  2. Just wanted to post a big thank you from across the water. I got the Check Hybrid system at 107,000 miles and dealer wanted $7,500 to replace the traction battery. But after checking around a few other resources and this thread decided to give it a go. Ordered 3 cells from Belarus just to be sure I had extra parts. Took me an hour to remove the traction battery. All of my cells tested at 7.3 - 7.6v though and I didn't have to replace any individual cells. But my copper bus bars were quite corroded. Was quick work with a rotary tool with sandpaper attachment to polish them up and have it reassembled. If it helps anyone though, I used a small power drill to remove and replace the nuts on the bus bars...bad idea. I didn't think it had much torque, but it sheared one of the battery posts off. Doing it by hand it much was more reliable. Another dumb move was in reassembling the unit I forgot that the service disconnect had to be inserted and slid all the way over...dumb. On the other hand, I can now reliably disassemble and reassemble the unit in less than an hour each way. An hour to check and clean the battery and voila. No more error codes. I posted a copy of my bus bar before and after cleaning, it seems this is also a common problem, and not just bad cells.

  3. Found it!! I have mine set at 5 flashes. The lane change flasher can be adjusted from no flashes, 3, 5, or 7 flashes Adjustment procedure is: 1. Ignition OFF, hold the wiper switch in the all the way up (OFF) position, turn ignition ON, engine not running, and continue to hold the wiper switch in the OFF position for 5 seconds or more 2. Move wiper switch down 1 position and HOLD for 5 seconds or more 3. Move the wiper switch up to OFF position and hold for 5 seconds or more 4. Move wiper switch down 1 position and hold for 5 seconds or more 5. Release the wiper switch. The right turn signal should flash 1 time 6. Place the intermittent wiper rotary switch in one of the following 4 positions -P1 - all the way down = 3 flashes -P2 - 1 up from the bottom = 5 flashes -P3 - 2 up from the bottom = 7 flashes -P4 - All the way up = no flashes 7. Pull the turn signal switch down the lane change position (not the turn signal position) and release. The left turn signal should flash 2-4 times. 8. Turn the ignition OFF and then start the car and test.

  6. The valet key does not lock or unlock the glove box,it does not also lock or unlock the boot, you can use the master key to lock the boot so that the boot release lever won't open it when pulled, put simply if you lock the glove box and boot with the master key, whoever you give your valet key to has no access to your glove box or boot.Hope this helps

  7. What is your understanding of how the valet key system works? The valet key system, from memory, allows you to place items in the "glovebox" for security. You separate the key from the fob, lock your valuables in the glovebox, give the fob to the valet to drive the car away. You keep the key. He then has no access to the glovebox. Simples. Nothing to do with the boot as far as I'm aware.

  9. no they are not what you want as the bulb holder goes into the light unit from the side i.e. parallel to the ground so using the led mentioned above the light will shine in the wrong direction use an led that emits light on all sides and that will work just fine

  10. Glad it's sorted. Worth remembering that most salesmen don't actually know much about their products. 9 times out of 10 they only know enough to sell the thing

  11. Thank you Guys, At last a logical response, which I completely understand. Why Lexus Croydon couldn't have told me this before bringing the car back under warranty is beyond me! I was in Eco mode, and now in Normal, and the heating now seems fine. Peter
