That is interesting, as the throttle response on my MkIV is much sharper than my old MkIII. Setting off, you need to be very gentle with the pedal, otherwise it feels like you are accelerating too quickly.2 points

I too had a noisy whining sound from the front of the car----solved it by getting the mother in law to sit in the back.2 points

Hi Tony and welcome to the LOC. I had the same problem fitting the driver's side, I "modified" the fitting with a stanley knife by cutting a small piece of the plastic out. Been working fine for around 4 years now ( cheapo ebay flat types).1 point
