  1. So i have had the IS-F for one week and i have realised one or two things. Aged 55 and i counted the days until i collected the car, not felt like this since my 3.0s Capri ( a 2 door hooligans Ford for those of you lucky enough to be under 45) I am taking the longest route on every journey. The superb Mark Levinson sound system has been redundant, just drop the window and listen to the exhaust note. Everyone in the office wants me to take them out in it. The Mini that i planned to use to keep the fuel costs and mileage down on the IS-F has not turned a wheel all week. I cannnot walk away from it without looking back. I was out on a "spirited drive" yesterday afternoon and realised i would probably not have gone much faster, if at all, on either of my motorcycles. Pleased is an understatement!!!!!

  4. Hi Everyone, a bit of advice please I have 2011 is250 f-sport. I bought 6 months old from lexus dealer. When i bought the car it had brand new p-zero's on the front. On my first long distance motorway drive i noticed the steering pulled to the left. Ever since its got worse and worse. Went to dealer who suggested i pay them £110 to check the tracking!!! No thank you!!!!! Got it checked at local ATS euromaster for nothing who said it was spot on. The tyres aren't unevenly worn and i check the preassures regularly. It's got to the point now where any kind of camber on the road and i am literally fighting with the steering wheel. Also any bumps or uneven road surface and it's all over the place!!! I am going to take it back to dealer but he said that if the tracking is ok then there isn't much more they can do!!! I would like to go bak with some kind of ammo if he tries to palm me off because to be honest, the car isn't a pleasure to drive!! Cheers for your help and suggestions!!!!

  8. A lady walks into a Lexus dealership. She browses around, then spots the perfect car and walks over to inspect it. As she bends to feel the fine leather upholstery, a loud fart escapes her. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and hopes a sales person doesn't pop up right now. As she turns back, there standing next to her, is a salesman. "Good day, Madame. How may we help you today?" Very uncomfortably she asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely vehicle?" He answers, "Madame, if you farted just touching it, you are going to s**t yourself when you hear the price.",!!

  9. Sounds like wheel bearings, remove brake pads then spin the wheels and listen for roughness,if you touch the coil spring and spin the wheel you should be able to feel the vibration. Try and wobble the wheel top to botom and side to side with it off the ground to check for bearing play.

  10. First do you have a reicpt for the last discs, by the sound of it if the calipers etc are all fine, I would say they have used poor quality brake discs. Stay away from brands such as national, veco etc and good for good quality ones such as TRW, or Mintex. ( they do cost more but the quality is vastly increased) There shouldn't be any need to modify the front of the car as from memory the front is designed to channel air towards the front brakes as you go along... And if you have bought grooved discs etc, make sure you fit them correctly as i have come across they many times fitted back to front...

  14. Very good point, and that is how I feel as well, to spend £30-£40k on a car, based on fuel consumption is madness, when a new car loses £5k+ in depreciation a few hundred more on fuel is negligible.
