  1. Not sure what got my brain asking this question, but it maybe with bright mornings we had a for a while I have taken to a bit of winter driving with the roof open. But the other day I cast my eye around the estate where I work, and it seems like none of the cars have sunroofs. The people in the office reckoned it was because we all have AC these days. But the 400 has both. I have never noticed whether the 430 & 460 are without sun roof, but if modern cars are all without, then that is another reason to stick with my 400 and because it is designed and built properly it does not seem to contribute to increased noise levels when closed.

  3. Its better (not always easier of course) to sell your current car and use cash to buy the next one. If you are part-ex the car with the dealer, they will make a cut on the trade-in and vehicle they are selling. So this means win-win for them and for less money, you get less hassle. If you are patient then try bargaining and leave your details but walk away on the first visit, it depends how desperate they need to shift their cars.

  4. Be prepared to walk away but make sure the dealer has your email address and don't settle until you've walked away at least twice. The dealer will have a break even figure and will eventually settle for any amount above that.

  5. I've been contemplating somethings similar as a project car myself. Won't be a complete stroll in the park, but worth it none the less. For me personally, the 2j route isn't "special" enough for all the effort, it is just turning a gs300 (a rebadged aristo) into an aristo, which came in that guise. i.e. It is easier to buy an Aristo and put the gs300 sport bits on it to get the same overall result. Having said that, more tuning options on the 2j. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC

  7. When I enquired about an interim service I got a lot of vague double talk and reassurance but very little in the way of information. It was like pulling teeth but I finally established that the "essentials interim service" being offered was an oil & filter change followed by an inspection of other service items, which if required would cost extra !!! So that's £200 for an oil change and we will let you know how much more !!! Sorry !

  9. I'm no expert...but boy am I a consumer. I want and expect a tyre that will take me across temperature ranges. I'm not in Siberia or deep cold Canada or US. In the UK I don't want the choice. Give me a tyre for all seasons. As we have had since tyres began.
