  1. 1) Theres a little switch in the glovebox for the power boot, check it out and see if it makes a difference. Also, try the spare fob to see if that works. If not, may need taking to the dealer. 2) Not paid much notice to it but mine is semi-soft open. Its not too fast and not too slow. Best thing to do is pop into the dealers and check their demo as they all use the same interior bits. 3) You'll need to activate the rear wiper and turn it off when it gets halfway and is completely vertical. You can buy refills or just change the whole blade, its a standard hook type fitting. 4) Im not too sure on the exact specifications of the SEL Premier but if it has Adaptive cruise control, it should have the PCS too. To check if you have adaptive cruise control, look for the button on the steering wheel with a wave coming out of the front. The PCS switch off button should be close to the steering wheel, either where the buttons are to the right of the steering wheel, or, if equipped, where the TPMS reset button is which is further down, near the bonnet opening lever 5) That thud would need checking by a mechanic - sounds like a suspension issue.

  3. 1 - as comments above, plus remember to press and hold the button for a second or two for the function to activate. 2 - it should soft open. When the pollen filter is replaced the soft close mechanism is sometimes disconnected - seems to be an oversight by the dealer. 4 - Yes the SE-L Premier should have ACC/PCS and Head up display. Those are the differences between the SE-L and Premier together with a standard fit sunroof. Are you sure you have a Premier and not just an SE-L?

  4. Does the car still have any form of warranty (with Lexus), and what service history do you have (all Lex stamps?)... You could source a couple of OEM spec KYB shocks and have Lexus do the job, to be honest, it's a couple of hours for both rear struts to be changed, so at least £200 labour (double an Independent would charge, pretty much). If you source the shocks yourself, you could save a good few quid, £60-80, and still have the job done at Lexus if you prefer?

  5. Hi Malcolm, Open boot. Remove the two blanking plates and then undo the two bolts. The complete cluster then slides out giving easy access to the bulbs no matter what size your hands are.Takes about a minute. The bulb is a large size capless, 7504 type I think or maybe a WY21W not sure!!There must be an LED version!! Regards Ed.

  6. With regards to the first question, you have to unlock the car before the power tailgate will open with the remote.

  7. Sold mine two weeks ago after 4.5 years of faithful service, but roughly it would be: MPG @ 30 MPH - 60 MPG @ 50 MPH - 55 MPG @ 60 MPH - 50 MPG @ 70 MPH - 47 MPG @ 80 MPH - 45 Most economic at speeds of 30-50, long motorways journeys at 70+ is much less as you can see.

  8. My daughter used to be Des Barry's children's nanny! My biking days are over - passed my bike test in 1963 on a Lambretta, the next dayi bought a Norton 350. Big gap (25 years ish) before a 400 Yamaha and various Hondas, the last being a CX500. The motor from a wrecked CX powers my 3wheeler (see my avatar pic), through the drivetrain to the rear wheel. As many other bits from the bike were used, you might say I'm still biking, but with stabilisers....... Malcolm
