  2. In the ongoing saga of my front brake judder we have come to the conclusion that the NSF hub must be distorted. The garage(very dependable) have fitted new calipers and sliders, new pads and are now fitting the 7th disc(2 osf and 5 nsf). To recap, brakes are fine for about 250-300 miles after the nsf disc is changed then the judder reappears. Is there anything else it could be before i bite the bullet and order a hub??? Ta

  3. About 3 weeks ago I joined the Lexus Owners Club having bought my first Lexus and expecting to be the proud Owner/Driver a few days Later. But due to paperwork delays at the DVLC I have only recently been able to take Delivery. After a lot of deliberation and road tests (Golf S/GTI, Audi S3/A4, BMW 3 Series and finally Lexus I purchased the IS300h Executive, pre registered by my local dealer it had 10 miles on the clock and was offered with a Substantial Discount!! (Probably because it was at the end of a Month?) And, what a pleasure it is proving to be - so quiet, comfortable and so very well Built - I think I have made a good choice. To date I have covered just over 250 miles, still trying to get used to the Sat Nav system (always used TomTom previously) and Audio set up, but it is currently showing 48 mpg, so I think that is OK on the general roads and Towns I have been on/in. I have fitted a set of Mud flaps following delivery (an easy job) and worthwhile in my opinion - maybe will help with stone chips etc! As a newcomer, any useful comments/advice would be most welcome.

  4. If you can download a later map or rip one of a different disc, as long as its the same file type you can burn a new disc using your existing disc's file structure but swap the map files, it should work as per the original but with new maps ... it's easy to do you just need the right map file, use a decent disc like a verbatim or ritek ...

  5. The ECU for the seats is under the drivers seat and I kept one spare for 15 years and never needed it went with the car in the end but they are available from breakers cheap and easy to get in and out.

  6. It is often reported that RX450h with the standard suspension set up are more comfortable that cars with the air suspension on less than perfect roads. On the other hand, the air suspension is reportedly very good on motorways.... Comfort will also be impacted by the type of tyres you have, and how worn they are.

  7. The ad has been deleted. I wonder if it sold.......... If it did, and for that price, it would be good for the whole Ls400 range I reckon.

  8. I don't think there is a separate fuse for just the memory operation. Might be an idea to have a look at the memory switches in the door and see if they need cleaned. You can then also check for voltage

  9. No offence intended! Just reflecting on often we have scant knowledge of distances in Scotland! Looking at map, I wondered why arran was excluded from being part of Argyll? I spent 5 days collecting Avantgarde Duo speakers from there once (look them up) great trip.

  10. I found the rattle! Yesterday I had a hunch it was from the top of the strut. Released the backrest; pulled up the back shelf; removed the cap, and the top nut wasn't fully tightened allowing a thick washer to move. We now have bliss :)

  11. As it says it's been a while since on here but hopefully back and a lot has happened since I was last on here.. I have sold the IS200,after 10yrs and I must say I miss the old girl that I would swap what I have now for it back. I have a 2005 Volvo V70 D5, fully loaded with all the toys. Had it 2yrs now and its pretty good on fuel which is a good thing about it, but it does not do it for me ... was impressed with it when I got it and its now done 192K miles and drives like new, anyway not here to talk about the volvo. I want to talk about what I want next, I want a RX400h, wish I got this after the IS, but hey ho we live and learn.. so RX hydrid peeps tell me the all about yours, realabilty, performance etc.... what to look for when I buy one.. Oh forgot hello everyone,
