  2. Chris, -~ I can see where you're at, it's just getting my head around the problem, a hobby of mine is building and flying large scale model aircraft of 5mtrs span (and scale model boats) so I recon I've got most tools, it's just the know how that's missing here. I'll see if I can find your article. Cheers, Jim Addition... Tried googling it NG, Can't find forum topic lists here!

  3. A: The 400 does not need to cool the transmission under normal conditions. When you use the 400 for towing it's a different story. I'm fairly sure a few members here using their 400 to tow a caravan have had an oil cooler fitted.

  5. I've seen a few mentions on this forum Graham, a couple of 430s and also a Land Cruiser from memory, but even if the risk is small, the cost to repair would likely be horrendous, whereas a replacement radiator, probably a couple of hundred? Not much for peace of mind.

  6. Car finally booked in with Lexus on Friday 18th Sept. Told the Service Manager of the replies on the forum and that the noise that he told me when it went in last time that they all have , don't seem to be that common with forum members ! He has arranged a Courtesy Car as they may need it a bit longer , so hopefully will get to the bottom of it ! Will let you know the results and thanks for the replies.

  16. Hi Vincent, I'm always on the lookout for cheap bits for my cars, and was probably going to get older 17" RX mk 1 rims for winter with a higher profile tyre, I can then keep my (hopefully finally home-refurbed) standard 18" rims for summer! As long as tyre sizes and ratings are within manufacturer specs, you won't have any insurance issues to worry about... Ta, Chris.

  18. Hi Tommy, There are several hybrid battery repair companies that will test and replace faulty cells in you RX's battery pack, here's som links to give you an alternative to the main dealer, if you require: Northampton - http://www.hybridbatterysolutions.co.uk/?page_id=42 Reading - http://cityautos-reading.co.uk/price.html Personally, I can't see why the battery pack would stop you totally dead whilst moving, unless the system detected a safety issue with charging (like a short circuit) that could cause big damage to you or the car.... Looking up your error codes, they state: P3190 Poor Engine Power P3191 Engine does not Start P3193 Fuel Run Out So what gives?
