  4. RX 450h has been improved in almost every way. Quality of the interior, quality of the exterior panels, gadgets etc. Sound deadening is superior to the 400h and it handles better. The 400h is more comfortable with serious waft ability but rolls around in corners. The 450h has a better balance imo. Both should be reliable but the 450h would be more so, mostly because it's younger so less chance of perishable items going eg bushings

  5. Essentially this is how it should go and has been for me:1) car taken off truck 2) stickers and plastic taken off and transport wax removed 3) full inspection carried out 4) fit wheel centre caps, wheel locks etc etc 5) PDI - valet and whatever else. Should be checked after valet and before being given to the customer by salesman You can reject the car. They either have to replace the car or fix the issues

  7. A wise decision IMHO! If I mentioned a second Lexus - it would be divorce!

  8. Look to import from the US, plenty of third party products available which even if they only last half as long as the OEMs mean you're ok for another 7 years. Take a look at Rockauto.com as a starting point.

  9. No chance of a speeding ticket, in fact an old biddy in a ford escort just over took me. Lol.

  10. Thanks to everyone I met - really enjoyed the car talk! All those IS-F's together are something else! I think that Jaguar owner (who bombed down the car park) was a little jealous! Safe journey home lads and NO speeding tickets!

  11. Great seeing everyone. :) Sorry I had to shoot off, had to get back to feed the kids! ;) Nice to have seen some new faces. :) Most F's in one place so far I think? Look forward to seeing the pictures and video's. Hope everyone gets home safe. Cheers. Pete

  12. I cannot see the anti roll bushes being the problem on a 80k 2000 it is more likely to be the upper control arms as the symptom of knocking as you apply the brakes is the red flag for worn upper control arm hub bushes. The quickest way to check is jack up the front of the car so the wheels are just clear of the ground ,place a large pry bar at the bottom of the wheel and apply upward pressure at the same time clasp the hub bush .If it is worn you will feel it knocking on pressure application and release, this simulates the exact scenario of brake application.

  13. Head into blue water. Then come back out. Follow signs for dover. A2. (not London). On the slip road back onto A2 is a place I use for mine.

  14. I think some insurance companies won't cover a Cat D vehicle so your choice may be slightly limited but shouldn't be too much of a problem.

  15. Cannot answer for Nokian but when researching tyres in the last few months I e-mailed Michelin regarding the Cross Climate for my RX 400, (18" wheels). They replied that whilst they intended to expand the range there were no current plans to produce it in the size I required. I finally settled on a set of 4 Hankook Dynapro with which I am very pleased. Hope that helps.

I decided to make a weekend off it.. seen some friends near Ilford, and now just got to my hotel... will be at the meet at 12.30ish then off to shopping at 3ish and then see some family in Oxford.. worked out well.. hope there will be plenty of Lexus owners. Had a look at a google sat view.. i can see 2 roof car parks.. one with yellow stripes and one with redish.. these are off oak tree road to the back.. is it any one of them?

  17. The moral of the story is; NEVER let Halfrauds loose on your LS! That goes for Kwik Fit too. From experience, both these outfits are a bunch of amatuers.
