  1. It makes the one recently at 5k a hell of a bargain because its the same one, I sold it to a guy in Scotland who said he was helping his dad buy it as he was a lexus enthusiast and really missed his old one which he was forced to sell, because I thought it was going to an enthusiast who would continue to look after it As I had done I let it go for 4k as I was fed up of constantly changing my mind over whether to sell it or not. Low and behold 4 weeks later its now being advertised for £7k!!! If he makes £3k profit off it in 4 weeks I am definately going into the used car game.Last time I do anyone a favour for a sob story. Best of luck to the guy if he can get £7k for it, if he does I can at least take some pride in the way I looked after it for the last 10 years. Have to laugh at the best car he has ever owned line though, he hasn't had it more than 4 weeks....

  2. Finest thing in the world for bad hearts an LS400 as they relax you from the moment you set eyes on her. Best of luck with your recovery. Mike.

  3. I like this piece:- It is finished with the most luxurious materials, but it is designed to age gracefully – and very, very slowly.

  5. I had a couple of stents fitted to my heart about 16 months ago. I was in the gym at a spinning class (!!) when I felt a bit short of breath. I went to my GP who sent me to the hospital, my wife was away so I drove myself and parked in the hospital car park expecting to be out in an hour or two. I was kept in for six days (it was a long weekend, so no surgery) and the doctor who discharged me didn't seem bothered by my decision to drive myself home, he even arranged to get my car out of the car park for free!

  6. Well we do live in a capitalist society and that's what goes on. Its also worth remembering that if secondhand prices continue to rise it also has an effect of enhancing the value of your LS. Mike. Gold price heading down...sell,sell,sell....LS400 prices on the up buy, buy, buy :)

  7. Very informative so thanks for sharing, I wish you all the best and a quick recovery. The reason I would think for the suspension of the policy whilst you are recovering is simply to cover their own ***** and of course they are going to either extend your policy by 6 weeks or refund the difference aren't they..... I doubt it will be either. Looks like you will be popping out to start the LS400 up every few days and just sitting inside it will be good therapy, try sitting in the back seats and imagine being chauffeur driven :)

  10. Quick diagnosis, I'm afraid you have Chronic Lexus disease, there is no known cure I'm afraid, but we all learn to live with it

  11. In general yes but the CT doesn't really have enough power to suffer from torque steer and the benefits of RWD are mostly irrelevant in the IS when you are driving along trying to make the most out of the hybrid drivetrain. I was specifically referring to the CT vs IS.

  12. If you are running just in electric only mode around a car park then your battery will go into the purple zone and the engine will turn on to recharge. This is normal and happens whether the weather is hot or cold. Also happens quite a lot when in stationary traffic, e.g. the M25.

  14. Hi. As Bill said in the first post, I too have noticed my battery indicator screen drop more often in the warm weather. Also three times it's gone to three purple bars and the engine then comes in to recharge. As far as I can tell it's happened when I have been circling car parks trying to find a space. Usually the indicators are blue or green and full. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
