Hi did a few of these when I worked at lexus main dealer a few years ago. Underneath the car on the ns there is a plastic cover and the rear a/c pipes join there ( 2 unions one 19mm and another 24mm if if I remember correctly ) we used to cut the pipes further back towards the rear and remove the front pipes and take to a local a/c specialist who soldered them up then refit the pipes(leaving the rearmost pipes in place ) and regas the system. Only the front a/c works but it got cold enough. I still work on one of the ls430,s and a/c still works ok Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Hi Mike I bought the car off Gumtree from a private owner in EastBourne so only have myself to blame. Thanks to the other contributors both positive and negative. I suppose I should realise that this is not a luxury car anymore just an old banger and as such I will stop cleaning it and having it services and drive it into the ground until it dies

............. these are well documented issues with the Ls430 ..................... now, the Ls400 is a totally different story Malc

Hello guys, my wife and I went to see some friends in Scotland last year in the trusty old LS. We did a round trip of 1100 miles in three days with no problems whatsoever. My LS is currently on 207,000 miles but when we did the trip last year it was on 202,000 miles. I was really impressed with how good the MPG was considering I wasn't driving like a vicar, I was just keeping up with the traffic flow and maintaining the speed limit where possible. We are off to Scotland again later this year so hopefully the LS will perform faultlessly again.

LOL the A-class is far inferior than an IS300h. You made the right decision - the plastics in the A-class are awful!
