It's a V6 - one wideband sensor for each half of the engine. The post-cat sensors are present on all new cars. They are a legal requirement. They check if the catalytic converter is present and working properly. If it isn't, they put the engine/VSC light on, so that the car will fail an MOT. That's all they do, they don't do anything to help the engine run.

From what I can recall (Excuse the pun) there has been 4 recalls on my 2006 GS450H As follows: Valve Springs Rear Calipers Tow Bar Fuel Pipe and gasket. Mine doesn't have a tow bar and I have now given up calling Lexus to tell them that but the others have been done as far as I am aware.

And for the record, we also have a very rare one of 250 E30 325i Motorsport convertibles in our garage. None of these list 'Motorsport' on the V5C but just 325i. You look for a 798 build code which lists the details of the Motorsport package. Nobody cares what the V5 says, all they want is the build code from BMW. That's what makes a Motorsport convertible worth over 10K and a regular 325 convertible around 4k.

Dealer bull cr*p. If you do any research you'll see that all IS300's in the UK were exactly the same mechanically and only differed cosmetically if it had the optional "aero" kit on it (which was also available across the whole IS200 range also, even on non sport models the S and SE) which yours did. Also there is no model called the IS300 sport edition, family work at DVLA, all that comes up is saloon or sportcross. And I bet your V5 just says IS300 not IS300 sport or sport edition.

Insurance companies don't always knock all your NCB on the head because of a claim. I would be interested if anyone does know how much their premium is before they knock off the NCB discount as I haven't seen that figure for years. Mike.
