  1. It always worries me with these kwik fix places, it's OK topping it up but what about the pag oil, if this is insufficient there goes the lubrication for all those seals and then the problems begin. A pressure test alone may not detect leaks over the long term the old gas needs to be removed the system, vacuumed, pressurised with nitrogen/dye mix then oressure tested and UV scanned, only then when it is confirmed the system is intact can the correct amount of fresh refridgerent/pag oil be put into the system

  2. Hi all Just a thought You cannot keep blaming lexuschap. If you have sold your car to lexuschap. Why do you not post on here the problems after you have sold it? Rather than let someone buy a banger. We should do our duty to post on here the correct details and problems once you have sold a car to lexuschap. For example someone bought a LPG LS400 a few months ago from lexuschap. He put it back on ebay to flog it off to someone else. So the previous owner should post a message on here saying "that LS on ebay from lexuschap is my previous car and here are the problems......."

  3. Best of it is 90% of his cars are on eBay a week before being sold by original owner so it would have had a honest description then. People should go on completed listings and they would prob find the same car in there somewhere? Being described as it should.

  4. My IS300H Exec is a company car - had it now 7 months. Done 15K miles. Its contact hired, as is all our vehicles. It replaced a BMW 120D Sport auto. This in turn replaced a Passat estate (also an auto). I take the tax 'hit' on private mileage. Irrespective of anything (i.e BIK issues, reduced running costs etc) the Lexus is a much nicer place to be in all day. Its so nice to get away from diesel power. Hybrid is so relaxing, especially in heavy urban traffic. My driving is all within London and M25 motorway journeys. IMHO there is no contest.

  5. Buy the Lexus. Drive it on the motorway and don't worry about the mpg being less than a diesel. Price of petrol is less, BIK is less, you get more for money with in car gadgets and it is quieter and way more refined than any diesel. Mine is costing me 11 to 12 pence per mile on fuel alone. My company is paying me the current hmrc rate which is 20 ppm, this offsets any issues on Mpg for me.

  6. I suffer from back issues following removal of a lower disc some years ago. I need to sit low with the seat back reclined. Previous BMW120D Sport had superb range of seat adjustment and was 100% perfect for me. Yes, I was a little concerned about the lack of adjustability on my Executive spec. I needed have worried as it is great - the lack of adjustable lumber and thigh support is fine. The only issue for me is if someone else uses it for a few days - or its in for a service is re-establishing the seat settings. Tend to wonder why after a few hours my back or neck is aching - and its only due to the seat needing adjusting.

  7. I think you have made the correct choice. I've had an exec for the last couple of days and within 10 miles of driving it I found the lack of seat adjustment uncomfortable. For me the front of the seat cushion was too high so I would definitely recommend the 8 way adjustable seats so you can tilt the front and back independently, as well as getting the lumbar adjustment.

  8. I have tried an Internet search but cannot find anything. My wife often comments that the cup holders in the center armrest in our IS300h are uncomfortable for her right arm/elbow. Has anybody seen any inserts that flatten out the top surface. I do not use the holders so will not miss them.
