  1. Filled up this morning and reset the trip. Crawled the 42 miles as shown on the clock through variable speed limits and 40 mph average speed section and got the following. Kept it around 65 although it wasn't really possible to go any faster than that due to the traffic!

  3. Rayaans - great article, thanks for posting. It's good to see at least one reporter in the trade press being honest enough to admit that the Lexus hybrids really are very, very good. I've had my first for just over a year and can't see myself going back to all petrol or diesel. The only other option I think I'd consider is all electric, maybe the Tesla S - but at £70K+ I could buy two IS 300's for the price of one Tesla S so it may be a while before they come down in price enough to be a viable option.

  5. Sorry cannot help with which connector it is however I'd assume that a heating element has failed if the fuse and switch are ok. Typically the two elements (seat cushion and back) are connected in series so if one fails they both stop working. The best way to check would be to disconnect the feed and make sure power it getting to the plug when the heater is turned on and also that there is resistance through the heater circuit on the socket. If you don't find the answer here and you can follow Toyota's wiring diagrams / repair manuals then just subscribe to the following for an hour which will only cost you price of a cup of coffee: http://www.lexus-tech.eu
