  1. Mr2lad since your local and like polishing a Lexus or two, where do I drop my car off? Do you provide coffee and biscuits while I wait?

  2. I had a Toyota Soarer on fleet as a competitor vehicle back in the 80's (way before Lexus was a glint) and it was a quite amazing car for those days, straight six turbo engine with ceramic technology in the engine and an audible warning system that used to shout at you in Japanese if you walked away and left the doors unlocked or lights on, got some very odd looks in the high street having this odd looking car spouting Japanese at high volume! Most asked question about it from passers by though was the wing mirrors (yes real wing mirrors) with miniature wipers built into them, try buying spare blades for those in Halfords :)

  3. We will have to wait for more information but the lack of anything meaningful probably suggests there is very little innovation here other than styling. This is no 'all new' RX just a update to the existing. It certainly isn't a 4th gen hybrid system, the engine isn't new just a minor rework of what is already there with a meaningless 5 hp more. Toyota have already said they have no immediate plans to implement CarPlay/Android Auto so we will have the same old slow, bug ridden, and unintuitive infotainment system. Other things new to the RX just seem to be updating the old to current Lexus standards, for example an AVS option and the PCS/ACC system gets auto high beams and lane assist which is standard on all NXs and an option on the IS. Hopefully all the things that were mentioned on the launch will be on the UK vehicles but Toyota GB/Europe have a habit of omitting certain things that are available the US and Japan.

  4. Sorry Iain I don't have the wiring diagrams for your vehicle. If others cannot help you can always subscribe for 1 hours access to the Lexus repair manuals which will only cost 3 Euros: http://www.lexus-tech.eu

  5. Makes me laugh, at the bottom of the add it states :- "THIS VEHICLE CAN BE DELIVERED ANYWHERE IN THE UK FOR £1. A MILE. SO IF YOU LIVE 100 MILES AWAY, DELIVERY WILL BE £140."

  6. Hankook Ventus for me. Plus you don't need swap over in winter as they are classes as all-season.
