  2. Took the IS-F onto Elvington Airfield early today. What a car! I was the only car on there so had two runways to myself. I was doing some on limit handling and also some high speed runs. Did some heavy braking and then sharp turns, the car held on very well. I was quite surprised at how well the tyres coped. The fastest I got was 168mph. I did a few runs and I can vouch the isf can easily cruise at 150 all day long. It was very stable at them speeds. Let's just say I was very impressed with the car!

  5. Is Lexus Edinburgh owned by Arnold Clark Group as I SEE SO MANY VEHICLES SUPPLIED BY THEM WHEN I AM IN SCOTLAND AND HEAR/ READ SO MANY REPORTS CONCERNING THEIR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE? Feel sorry for you G. Regards John

  6. It may be because that the MOT tester considered it to be corrosion of the braking components, of which the back plate is part of it. Remove it and it's not rusty anymore, so can't fail. I'd go elsewhere for an MOT in future. Plenty info if you google. Pete

  8. I believe your motivation in posting is not to be helpful, rather, it's to show members, just how smart and clever a chap you are. I believe you are not a genuine person, but a mean spirited petty individual. Who likes to think himself superior to the rest of us. I will not be posting on this thread again, nor will I view it's content.so you are free to be as petty as you wish. WilliamAt the risk of being petty . . . . I would just like to point out that I didn't pick this fight, or name Bilmac, or give any details until he called me out. And I was specifically requested to write up the whole process by CruiserMark in post #6. Very happy to leave it there, and for reference, I only consider myself superior to one member of this forum. There were a couple of minor points I didn't respond to, I realise. My speedo is in miles already, so no need to change anything there. I noticed the navigation was in kilometres, but that was a straightforward settings change. The DVLA confirmed that I did not need a certificate of conformity as the car is over 10 years old. Any more questions, just ask. Cheers Jon PS The big frustration is waiting for the paperwork to come back so I can start driving it.

  9. The speedo was reading 168 but we all know that at high speed they are not 100% correct however I felt the car could pull more but I ran out of runway.

  10. Hi chris bit of a long story but airbags and struts are fine topmount knocking and compressor not working. Changed a leveling sensor last year. £300 it was cheaper to get rid of the problem altogether, rather than replacing with oem.

  11. just had a look at the lexus wiring diagram and it's a red cable that receives the speed signal so you need to connect the skyline speed sensor to a red cable on the lexus wiring.
