  1. Too true. Since i bought my 430 I've had to put some air in one of the tyres, and I thought they were supposed to be reliable. 😅

  2. You could always go back to original fitment i.e. 225/60/16. Guaranteed to be nowhere near as harsh.

  6. I did manage to get the door card off. Well, I managed to get a big enough gap at the top to be able to get my hand in and pull the cable to unlock the door. New lock / actuator mechanism fitted and all is working perfectly again :) 1 thing less on the list oh and 'fixed' the tilt motor issue too. Not exactly fixed, but took the steering wheel and shaft off, manually wound the tilt motor up so at least it's not blocking my view anymore.. The sub will need a repair as the foam/rubber ring has completely let loose Will have a look at the door speakers tomorrow

  7. I am not 100% sure but I think because it is to small to have an internal battery or a capacitor then it has to have power to close the file when the car power is switched off. I wired it up and it worked ok. I was just a little worried about a relatively low priced item having permanent power but it was double fused and there was never a problem with it so probably being over cautious. Ed

  8. Hi Peter I know its a slightly different car my RX400H but I bought a set of side steps from Direct 4x4 mainly to stop ***** holes opening their doors against my car and to be honest the instructions were lets say vague at best and they were very very tight fitting on my front and rear slash guards. I even swore and launched a spanner down the drive while fitting them !

  9. After reading on here for a few months finally took the plunge and bought a lexus ls 400 mk4 in black with lpg . Have few issues with low idle and slightly lumpy , cleaned out the throttle body . Engine management light comes on followed closely by esc light warning , and I can't connect to the ecu using two different scanners , one costing thousands . So I think a good place to start could be the ecu capacitors , have you got any left Steve and if so how do I pay you cheers Darren . Drove the car 160 mile home, first time I've ever been up close to one never mind drive ,all I can say is wow . I was a mechanic for twenty years and drove many cars at various dealerships but none come close
